Peter Senich's book 'The One Round War' has many references to the variable 3x-9x scope used on the Winchester M70 rifle prior to the Unertl 8X.
But there is no mention of a brand, and lack of clear pictures to identify it. They were manufactured in Japan, bought in Okinawa and branded/trademarked 'MARINE' by the Army.
Any information about these scopes would be greatly appreciated.
