I need to install a rail on my son’s 20 gauge beretta 391 for turkey hunting ( for red dot sight). I need a smith who can drill and tap the receiver for the rail but also make me some filler screws to plug the holes when the red dot is not on the gun. When we shoot doves, ducks, etc the red dot and rail will be removed.

Any help is appreciated. My go to guy can’t make the filler screws for some reason.

Why would "filler screws" have to be fabricated when the holes for the mount are drilled and tapped to a standard thread?
The screws are slotted set screws available just about anywhere.

Another thing you might try before spending the money on a red dot. Have the smith put a mid bead on the barrel. On most ribs stacking the front bead on top of the mid bead gets you close on a target that isn't rising. I have never seen a turkey fly before running 50 yards.

We shoot the turkeys in the head before they run and definitely don’t shoot them flying. I already put a mid head on it and for some reason this gun is way high and to the right with the turkey choke. I think a red dot is my only option besides buying a pile of turkey chokes and trying each one.
