Need some help on my next build...

Well I am finishing up my 308 build, and a buddy or mine wants to build a custom rifle for 1000 plus yards. He is kinds between 300 win mag and a 338 lapua. the rifle will be basically a target rifle, weight is not a problem. Maybe be used in some comps, trips to the desert to shoot out to 1 mile with another friends 338 lapau.

We talked about cost of the round and that is not that big of an issue, we also are set up for reloading.

Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

I'd go with the 338 LM.I am in the process of getting all the parts to build a 338 Norma just need my stock,bottom metal and brake.

300 norma magnum. pretty much has the ballistics of a 338 LM, not as much downrange energy. doesn't cost as much to reload. this is why surgeon rifles builds this caliber in their XL "remedy" line rifles
