Rifle Scopes NF customer service?

Anybody have any experience with nightforces customer service? I heard 2 stories yesterday that were very bad. Both stories were unrelated and at different times of the day. It wasnt like someone was telling a story and another person jumped on the bashing bandwagon. One story was second had, a buddies buddy and the more disturbing story was first hand and happened twice to him(one problem, two bad calls with nightforce.) Still awaiting resolution on the second one. I will not repeat either so dont ask. I was just curious if these people were just unlucky or if that is par for the course.

It seems that everyone will have good and bad experiences with ANY company out there. In my experience, I have had EXCELLENT service from Nightforce. I'd be curious to know the situation and if someone personally at NF has been given the opportunity to take care of the situation. It's possible that the fault of poor service is on the salesperson at the store where the product was purchased.

FWIW- There are members on the board that work for NF and when issues have popped up in the past, they have been taken care of with haste.

Like I said I wont repeat either. The first was second hand so I disregarded it until a hour or so later, when I find out about the second story. It involved two calls with nightforce so they are well aware of it. It is awaiting resolution so we will see what happens? Maybe their phone support lacks compared to their service work.

i have had nothing but good dealings and pleasant experiences with NF Customer Service. I suggest you look up KenNF on here, great guy and will get everything settled.

Like someone else pointed out, you'll always have people that are unsatisfied with the resolution of whatever their issue is. While unfortunate, it's impossible to make 100% of the people happy 100% of the time.

Ken is the face of Nightforce Customer Service and I think that he is the amongst the best in the industry at what he does. While he is the face of that Customer Service, we at Nighforce are all responsible for a part of it, from me in Sales to the guys in production building them. I think that you'll find the service to be excellent, which is what we strive to be as we want our users to know that the support is always there.

Of course the best customer service is the one you don't have to use and according to our dealers that sell the top brands, we have the lowest return rate hands down and that is something that we are especially proud of.

Skog - if you or your friend has an issue, both Ken and I are members here and pretty routinely check PM's, etc.

Thanks, I have never heard anything bad about nightforce. Then I hear 2 big problems with customer service in one day it kinda suprised me. One was second hand (and self inflicted damage) so I dismissed it. Then I hear a second one I was really suprised. I understand that no company is perfect and sometimes product slips through the cracks. I was also contact by one of the NF guys to offer help and that says alot about customer service when a company rep extends a hand rather than having to call them. I will wait and see how this second one unfolds.

I am working with NF right now on a customer service issue. I posted a concern here about my NF and KenNF contacted me directly. That impressed me. No other company has ever been that active in taking care of a customer in my book. I also spoke with him on the phone prior to sending it in, just to confirm that it needed to go. He assured me that he would take care of it personally, and they would go through it top to bottom. Like one of the others said, there customer service has been second to none for me and has solidfied additional purchases from them. Sure, you don't want to use the warranty, but if you play the game long enough, you will have to.

On a side note, I called up NF prior to purchasing my scope and spoke with one of the gentlemen in the technical department with questions regarding different reticles and shooting applications. Absolutely helpful.

NF is good to go.

I broke an erector tube spring on a 5.5-22x50 MLR and had it back within a week with a hand written note. You can judge the CS, but I was happy. This was a few years ago.

Anything mechanical can and will fail eventually. I had a NF go down in a match. Sent it back, NF fixed it immediately for free. Great customer service. Always helpful on the phone. I've bought another one since then, and wouldn't hesitate to buy a third. In fact, I'm thinking about getting another soon.

My experience with NF customer service was excellent. Really minor thing that needs a quick fix, and they took great care of me.

Helpful on the phone and quick email reply. Even with another military contract working going on at the time, they have managed to fix my scope quickly and sent back to me. Makes me feel like they didn't treat me any less next to the big contract they had to work on.

I am very happy with them.
