Nickel Plated Bore Jag?

I somehow broke the pointy tip off my 25cal/6.5mm brass bore jag and ordered one from Amazon to replace it. They delivered a nickel plated one. Although the nickel plating will eliminate false positive copper in the bore, is the nickel plating hard enough to damage/nick the bore/crown with normal/cautious/prudent use?

Dunno, but I believe Hoppe's Number 9 attacks nickel.

Just sayin'.
