Full disclosure, I have a basic combat load of high quality match FGMM ammo in 308 and 223, every other bullet I own is hand made by me, I rarely buy ammo I mean like maybe 4 times in the past 35 years.
I just think its a good buying opportunity.

standardization,,, I said it before Ill say it again, the 308 and 223 and 30 06 will be plentiful and most practical rounds to have you rifles chambered in, always keep a 300 wm and a 50cal bolt gun in case you need to stop something short of a Bradley and even a bradley if you know what you are doing

HPBT and FMJ are contradictory. A bullet cannot be both. The Sierra Match King bullets used by Federal in most its CF rifle Gold Medal loads are made in a process completely opposite to FMJ bullets
Most importantly, the 175 grain Sierra Match King has been the only bullet ever loaded in M118LR, which is the US military's 7.62x51 sniper ammunition of choice since sometime in the early 90s if not earlier.

I think 7.62x39 will be hugely popular....maybe close to 5.56. Not having an AK with shit tons of spare parts and ammo is insane. The AK just works and works and works. Not precision but inside of 400 a standard AK is something to be dealt with

In regards to AKs. I know a lot more people with ARs v AKs. I would say the import bans have made AKs on the rare side.
Someone with an AK will get shot quicker than someone with an AR. It's the weapon of terrorists.
AKs may be popular with a lot of the enemies from foreign countries that we may be fighting in our country in the days to come.
However you can buy good ARs cheaper than AKs and you could just increase your stockpile of them & parts for them with the same money.
If we go to fighting against "Oppressors" most likely the ammo, weapons and gear you will be pulling off them will be of the AR variety.
