I'm looking to make something cheap to catch the splatter and patches from rifle cleaning, so that the smell of Shooter's Choice, Eliminator, Butch's or <insert your favorite solvent here> doesn't permeate the house. A post from 10 years ago indicated that an individual used a wider mouth bottle with a number of different lids cut to fit the barrel profile with silicon sealant on the lid, but didn't include pictures. Anybody care to share their ideas? My spouse would appreciate it.. Thanks.
