The most alarming thing I read was a amendment that would not allow court packing was defeated on a 50-50 vote. That may be a foreshadowing of what is to come.

Why havent we seen one explanation from the left why a tool such as Benfords Law that our own State Dept uses to check for fraud got it wrong in this case?

That of course is currently very dusty as they have not functioned in that manner for the last administration. They were only too happy to legislate during the Trump admin.
The Benford's Law conspiracy has been so thoroughly discredited. Of course, it had been discredited as a means for finding election fraud long ago, see Cambridge Paper in 2011, but even moreso given the two party system and precinct divisions in the US. Basically, given the structure of our system, Benford's Law would no longer expect an excess of 1s, but an excess of 4, 5 and 6s given average precinct size of 1000.
And, for what it is worth, we always ask the losing side to accept election results. I voted for Trump just like you, I am just not willing to dive down the rabbit hole on the basis of crankery.

How many of these things need to be debunked, how many theories, like Benford's law, need to be shown to be wildly misapplied, how many "expert testimonies" need to be shown to be fakers? If something comes up that is actual evidence of fraud, great, but as of yet, it has been nothing but a big grift that has ended up hurting conservatism, and this country, an almost unfathomable amount.
And no, the answer is not that I am a Biden supporter. You were in threads pre election where I was arguing with Libertarians that they needed to suck it up and vote for Trump. This is about the importance of dealing in reality, not in garbage brain conspiracy theories aggregated by people without the ability to understand why they are garbage.
This is, frankly, silly. What the "Roberts Court" did when Roberts was the swing vote has no predictive value for what the Roberts Court will do when Roberts is not a swing vote. The Chief Justice is very limited in most ways, and the change from the rulings in favor of draconian restrictions to against them is pretty good proof. It's like saying you know how a football team will play based on last year, even if the roster is dramatically different.

Two points. First, they are not legal opinions, they are statements of fact. Second of all, you people should, since every time since this election, I have been right and you all have been wrong. I am not talking about debated points. I am talking about what is going to happen. Every damn time.
Excuse me. The second paragraph was opinion, though not legal opinion. The first paragraph was statements of fact. The experts have turned out to be charlatans, or at least not qualified in the ways they claim, the use of things like Benford's law has been widely shown to be inappropriately used. The government insiders were temporary cleaning help, the crypto experts were, well, not, the hack of the Dominion system was not a hack. It has all been shown to be grift.
Anent Benford's Law, it is pretty fucking easy to understand the inapplicability here. Average precinct size in the US is 1000, give or take. Assume two data sets, Trump voters and Biden voters, in every precinct. If you distribute one in accordance with Benfords law, the second necessarily has to be the inverse. In other words, if 30% of precincts show Biden votes starting with 1, then 30% of precincts will show Trump votes starting with 8 or 9, which in and of itself violates the prescription that a total of 9% of outcomes should be in those later two deciles. It is easy to understand that in an artificially limited population, given two possible choices, the outcomes will likely look more like a bell curve, though a skewed one, with the highest frequency being toward the median number. It isn't hard, you don't even need to understand the math behind it. You just need some critical thinking skills.

I explained above the exception to its utility. The issue is in a binary choice situation with artificially limited and equalized n data sets. I can't answer the other questions other than to say that it has been discredited in general as a tool for use in election fraud cases. And it was never used as proof, only as a detection method. A first step. But it hasn't been considered a good formula for this since 2011.
My guess as far as why the left isn't fighting back on this is the old adage that while your opponent is beating himself, the correct move is to stay the fuck out of the way. We last saw this in the US in the great Kenyan debacle. Obama simply did not respond, and gained votes by not doing so because people were disgusted with the spectacle. It is good strategy, which seems to be the hallmark of the Democratic party, and certainly not of the Republican party.
The President/Solicitor General argue for one thing and than Roberts redefines their argument to be Constitutionally legislated stating what is said in the heat of the debate has no bearing because he was able to figure out what they really meant and he could state it so that it would be Constitutional........BS!
Like I said, with Roberts as the swing vote you get one thing, but with Roberts as not the swing vote, the calculus changes. This is not a difficult concept. Roberts could move to the left of Sotomayor and how he voted still wouldn't matter as long as Kavanaugh was to the right of Roberts.
The only tool Roberts currently has to move the court left is to move himself to the right. When he is in the majority he gets to assign writings. When he is in the minority, Clarence Thomas does.
Based on all of Trumps appointments and who they were reported to be vs who they turned out to be I doubt anyone of the three will be right of Roberts and packing the court will be un-necessary.
Our only friends are fragments from a bygone era Thomas and Alito.

As long as Roberts is CJ, they won't have to pack the court. Remember, the SCOTUS does not have to hear a case. It's an elective that can be weaponized. We've seen it in the recent past, no reason to believe it won't be used in the future.

IMO, Gorsuch and ACB are solid. Kavanaugh is much less so. The only place anybody faults Gorsuch is on the meaning of sex case, which was debatable, and both, I suppose, on not hearing Texas, which was a total pig in the first place. Even Thomas and Alito only thought it should be heard based on a strong belief they have on original jurisdiction.
The second part of your statement belies the first, btw. If Trumps judges are no better than the liberals, then why would the liberals care so much?

Without reference to the awful perpetrators, it was a brilliant attack and changed the course of our history. We reacted incorrectly. I actually believe we acted in good faith, but it was an emotional reaction not based on reason. It is worth noting, however, that those who voted against the Patriot Act, and were correct, are card carrying members of the current "cabal." As long as you are not suggesting a conspiracy, I have no problem with your analysis, though while I am generally a Solzhenitsyn fan, I do not necessarily agree that we are where that quote applied to today suggests we are. We are someplace bad, but there are many levels of bad, and we ain't there yet. Hopefully we never get there.
