After listening to Klamallatoe talking about xxx control. I have been thinking that women are much too emotional to be in the office she is in. My girlfriend mentioned it first, almost like she was reading my mind. As mentioned by others our current regime has to be the laughing stock of the world.

Was Trump's presidency just another not so real reality TV show. I gotta say, things surely didn't go the way we all thought it would at the beginning of his term. Or is it possible that the Swamp is so deep that the deck was stacked against him and "they" only let him rile up the country and they just went ahead with most of their agenda in the background?

I have to say, I do feel cheated. Don't know by who, by I certainly didn't see the country in the place it is today. Not in a million years. But here we are......

I'm waiting for my university to mandate it.

A couple of months ago they sent out a questionnaire to see how willing people were to get the vaccine (or not), and what their reasons were. I made it very clear and explicit that I have no interest in getting a relatively untested vaccine that utilizes novel medical technology for a virus that statistically represents no threat to me (being 33 with no co-morbidities). Of course I used actual facts and statistics to back up my argument as well, not that they probably cared, since this topic has become much more about an ideological dogma then anything factual and pragmatic.

Of course, many of my classmates are a bunch of fucking pussies, and were happy to get the vaccine. Some of them were almost in tears when our Governor (Ducey) lifted mask mandates the other day. I wouldn't be surprised if many of the students were very warm in that survey about vaccines.

I'll just have to wait and see what happens. I know they were testing the waters on vaccines. I have no intentions of getting the vaccine, mandated or not.

The problem is that while Trump stated some good basic principles, he is fundamentally an incompetent showman with zero self control. Those of us who have been watching him since the early 80s were not fooled by this. He was the last person any thinking individual should have put trust in. His one skill is that he understood your anger, and he verbalized it in a way no other politician was willing to do. A showman, a salesman, but never a statesman.

College in MA today locked everyone in their dorms. If they leave they will face discipline.

Students are no longer the customer of the colleges paying the college to provide them with a service. Seems they are chattel of the college.

I will never let a college treat me like a serf or chattel. I've experienced enough at my stage in life to put up with that kind of bullshit.

I have a liberal arts degree....history major, lots of poli sci, with minor in management.

The value of a liberal arts degree is in learning if you dont know something how to get the answer, research, and writing a paper to support your position......not a bad foundation to be a productive person in society but you have to figure how to make it profitable.

Thing is now a days I dont think kids are being taught to be critical thinkers and fact researchers.

Its eat the pablum and believe us when we tell you its steak.
