Eight people have died and numerous others were injured in what officials called a “mass casualty incident” at Travis Scott’s Astroworld 2021 music festival in Houston on Friday night, the AP reports. Officials transported 17 people to hospitals, including 11 people who were in cardiac arrest. A 10-year-old was reportedly among those injured, and the ages of the deceased are between 16 and 23. The medical examiner is currently investigating the causes of death.

I can remember the "Little Black Sambo" book that my parents got me when I was little. I also spent the early portion of my childhood in a racially mixed neighborhood. It was in base housing before my Father retired.

Any way, the children in our neighborhood, black & white, all got along with one exception. That exception is a topic for another day. I never heard the "N" word until we moved to an all-white neighborhood after my Father retired. Half of the all-white families were assholes. I would have taken the racially mixed kids on base housing any day.

As a child, my impression of Little Black Sambo was that he was a really smart kid. As a child, I didn't see anything racist about it. To me, it was merely a story about a kid who was "colored;" to use the vernacular of the day.

BTW, we had lots of children's books. "Little Black Sambo" was one of them. I guess, I learned early, that intelligence can come in all sorts of different colored containers.

I say all this to illustrate that kids are not born racists. We're all born with a sin nature but, I don't think racism is inherent in the human psyche. It has to be taught.

That book looks like it would promote racism more than cure it.

Because they KNOW, that if Truckers united on this (and I'd argue they still should) and just went on complete strike in the USA for 2,3...10 weeks (whatever it takes) the walls of Jericho would come tumbling down on the people that are illegally (IMO) forcing this shit.

If this hasn't exposed the blatant lies, nothing will. I'm afraid American citizens are too busy with themselves to understand this. We have an ignorant, willfully stupid population. Of course, it'll never see the light of any media unless people forward this to friends, to forward in a chain letter.
