One thing’s for certain, Arken has caused more arguments and butt hurt on the Hide than maybe any other subject I’ve seen in my limited time here.

If you want to go through life with your head up your ass, that’s your business, but there are a lot of us that have been fucked by optics planet, I’m one of them. I can’t count how many times something showed in stock and wasn’t when I ordered, or showed backordered with reasonable ETA’s that were never met. Recently I ordered a pair of boots through camp saver not realizing they were part of the same shitty company, same fucking thing, said in stock and a month later nothing. They gave me shit about canceling the order too and I had to do a chargeback.
You do you though. With owning osprey optics (I had to look that up to even find out what that no name garbage was), and “upgrading” to Arken, you’re probably used to crap so go for it homie.
I will say I have dealt with Optics Planet a number of times over multiple years and personally I have never had a single issue with any of my multiple orders.
I actually placed 3 separate orders with them this past Black Friday as the way they were doing their discounts I saved a few extra dollars by doing it this way and all of my orders were sent using their free economy shipping and I had all of my orders, fulfilled in full by last Wednesday.
I think that was pretty good.
Same way I have listened to people calling Vortex scopes junk for a long time and I own 4 Vortex scopes and not once have ever had a single issue or had to send any back for any type repair or warranty.
One of those scopes is even one of the original issue lower line Crossfire models that I have had for about 13 or so years.
So again not everyone experiences the same things dealing with a certain company.
Just because you have had bad experiences with a company does not mean everyone shares that same opinion of them.
I have purchased optics from Optics Planet, Camera Land, PSA and Midway and honestly had stellar service and no issues at all with any of them.
So personally I would recommend any of them to anyone looking to purchase something from their company.

Never had issues with OpticsPlanet for stuff that's in-stock. Anything backorder, etc....good luck!
Fuck Optics Planet, they fucked up 2 of my orders, saying things were in stock, then they never shipped and showed backordered on the order...I did finally get them 6 damn months later. I could have ordered from anywhere else and had them in a week or 2, but their system kept saying "ETA: OVERDUE". 
I also bought 2 boxes of Lapua .260 Rem brass from them years ago, and they said in stock, charged me for them, and then they never shipped... After a week, they still hadn't shipped. So I called them, they said they would check into it, put me on hold, and he called the warehouse... Warehouse told him no recollection of the order that was obviously in their system. So the dumb fucks at the shipping department LOST an electronic order that works on the same internal server system in the company... How the fuck does that happen? So they said they would get them sent out that day, or the next morning... Nothing got shipped and waited another week. So I called back and cancelled the order. Turned around and bought them from Midway for a couple dollars more per box, and had them in 3 days. Worth the extra money. Like I said at the beginning...Fuck Optics Planet.

Well I finally got another email from Arken. They admitted that they hadn't shipped my Scope yet and that they are now out of stock with more on the way.
Not sure how to proceed other than I replied that I would like a full refund and that I wouldn't do business with a company that operates in shell game tactics. Seems to me they banked a butt load of money and now are ordering merch to fill orders.
Gave them until tomorrow to issue the refund or I would put the transaction in dispute with my CC company.
Yes, I know that ties up a few bucks for awhile, but Arken isn't going to benefit either.
I don't think Doug (gr8fuldoug) could of helped when they apparently don't have inventory.

I second Doug at cameralandny. I spoke with them yesterday noon, put in an order for an Arken EP5 + mount and some accessories online after lunch. Order shipped about 3hrs after and UPS just delivered it to my door an hour ago.
Now, that is speedy service!
