OP it really depends on a bunch of things like what are you doing in what kind of terrain with what kind of gear? Bialthalon sling (watch the sport) wont hinder a reasonable trasnition to shooting. But if you a re carrying a ruck on your back you need compete for real estate on your back. Rilfles only makes some nice slings, check them out...
