So I put together some loads for h1000 and n570 just to compare and kill some time. Here's the results if anyone cares or wants to reference. This was purely for my own edification and amusement but figured I'd share.

Sako TRG M995, 338LM, 28" Bartlein #9, 9.5tw

Lapua Brass trimmed to 2.714(5th firing), 215M, 300g Berger Hyrbrids. All are seated .0230" off. 2.9095" from base to ogive. 3.8465" COAL

3 shot groups only for now except for the Retumbo

H1000
90 - 2712fps avg, SD-18 ES-36
92.5 - 2776fps avg, SD-19 ES-34, bolt just a little tight but ok, shootable
93 - 2790fps avg, SD-18 ES-36, sticky bolt, ejector marks, best group, not shootable

I've done a lot with H1000 and Retumbo not listed, those are just the best groups.

N570
90 - 2720fps avg
91.5 - 2754fps avg, SD-19 ES-34, 2 shots where at 2788 and 1 at 2754
92.5 - 2787fps avg, SD-11 ES-23
93 - 2824fps avg, SD-14 ES-25
93.3 - 2824fps avg, SD-8 ES-19
93.6 2823fps avg, SD-0 ES-1, still no pressure signs

Not compressing the N570 or H1000 yet but also not gaining velocity. I am gaining consistency with the N570 though as I fill the case. I am real close to compressing the N570 at 93.6 but not yet although I think I've achieved my max velocity with the N570 on this barrel. And still no pressure signs with the N570. Based on this and some previous testing with H1000/n570 it would seem my rifle likes N570 better between the 2.

Here are pics of the sets of groups. One's in red are from a couple of weeks ago. My best with Retumbo also here which has been my go to charges. This is a 5 shot group with 89.5 at 2640fps and an identical group with 93.5 at 2840 that I can't find a pic of.

Layton,
Hope I don't sound like a know it all, but the 570 load tells me you're at pressure point at 93 grains, you quit gaining velocity there, I'd say 92.8 would be a max load until it warms up.

Yeah, N570 is definitely an option. It has a couple of good nodes with potential. I'm not really all about just speed but wanted to see how far I can push each. Something to do whilst waiting on the next one and the fall to roll back around and the fact I ran across a shit load of 570 and h1000 to play with. lol. Should be interesting to see what happens as it starts heating up more. I've only pushed Retumbo to 94g but it was compressed at that and I wasn't getting any more velocity so i backed to 93.5. When i get my hands on more I'll have to see how it acts in the heat around here.

Milo, I think you're right on the 92.8g of 570. I'm gonna roll back to that, start playing with seating depth and see if I can't tighten it up. I"ll also shoot some 5 shot groups and some at 300 and 600 this coming weekend to see what I get.

edt: What impresses me is that I've thrown 3 different powders from min to over max book charge on each through this rifle and there's not much it doesn't like. Only 300g Hybrids though and am just shy of 600 rounds down the tube. Have yet to shoot anything else through it.
