Hi everyone,
Been lurking here for a while but figured it was time to sign up. About a year and a half ago I bought a Ruger Precision Rifle in 6mm Creedmoor. I grew up shooting rifles but had given it up for a lot of years after several back surgeries. I stumbled on an article about the 6 CM and was overjoyed to learn that it has tiny recoil but can shoot out to a mile.
I went out the next day and ordered one from my LGS. I was hooked the first day I took it to the range. I live in the middle of nowhere (TorC, NM) and a group of us regularly set up a course out to a mile out in the desert. The local range is 650 yds. Some of the old timers here are teaching me to reload. I love this sport.
I have my first PRS competition in Farmington, NM in a couple of weeks and the second one at Gunsite in AZ in November. I have only begun the trip down the rabbit hole.
I have learned so much invaluable information on The Hide. Thank you to everyone who shares their knowledge, time, and experience to help out those of us just getting hooked. It is much appreciated!
