After taking a year off (medical and work) back developing loads for the the Compass Lake Engineering upper with a Krieger Stainless barrel. So far 24.xgr of 4895 with SMK 69 seated too long for the mag, have worked the best. Initial testing shows promise for 24gr of 4064 with Hor 75gr, but not enough of anything fired for statics yet. The 80gr loads are ok but not screamers at this time.

Trying Reloader 15 next along with more loads (varying charge and OAL) for the previous two combinations. Any other combinations to check out early in the cycle is appreciated.

Seen a few older threads on reloading 223 but missed anything recent. Of course of could find a mag length loading that worked as well, would make life easier ;-)

I load Alliant AR-Comp with 75gr BTHP set at mag length out of my Noveske 5.56. I am getting 2720fps out of a 14.5" barrel. I am way above max so working up is a must. Just something else to try out.
