hi all

i am unable to obtain commercial 8x57 cases here in france.

im wondering if somone could tell me what i need to start resizing cases... because i want to resize .270 winchester cases into 8x57 mauser's for my 1942 mod k98 any info would be much appriciated.

You need a .284 expandrel mandrel and holder die and the dies for your caliber. Fairly straight forward to do. Just remember to keep the mandrel lubed when you are up necking.

Neck it up to 7mm, 30 cal, then run it through the 8x57 die with LOTS of lube on the cases. You'll need a trim die as well as a case trimmer. It will be labor intensive, but if you can't get cases because of some idiotic law, then it is worth it.
