Hey ya'll,
I'm very new to rifle shooting and riflescopes and I'm looking for one (or a couple) source(s) to learn all there is to know about scopes, scope options, setup, use, etc.
I've got a Bergara B-14 BMP in 6.5CM with a Burris XTR II 5-25x50. Right now I only have access to a 100yd range but my next goal is to start getting out to maybe 300-500yds. I also have a LWRC IC in 5.56 that's more for CQB distances but might take it out to a couple hundred yards (no scope yet, just a red dot). Any recommendations on a book, DVD or even a class in Texas that would give me the knowledge to pick, set up and use a scope? Where did ya'll learn? I understand that that SH is home to a wealth of knowledge but sometimes rather than searching through forums I'd like to be able to just sit with a book or video. Thanks in advance.

Long range shooting handbook by Ryan Cleckner is a great place to start. It’s like 10 bucks on amazon and is super informative. His advice is to read his whole book before you run out and buy gear.
