KRG, McMillan and TRG-42. And if you go with the McM, buy the PT&G DBM (provided by McM). If none of these fit your bill, don't bother. Way too much trouble.what aftermarket stocks are available for TRG-S/M995?
... [snip]
other option would be going flat top and custom I suppose
BTW, congratulations, really nice setup. Mine is in .223. What caliber is yours?
I have been wanting to set Mine up for the 6.5X47L but I have heard that some have had some feeding and ejection issues with the short case. I am on the fence of which caliber the X47 or the good old 260 which I know will work well. How has your experience been with the X47?TRG22 Re-Barrelled in 6.5x47
Here is mine. Sako M995 TRG-s action with spiral fluted bolt and bolt knob, Near Mfg 20MOA rail, Proof Research barrel 1-7.5” and 26” long, Benchmark brake, McMillan A5 with PTG bottom metal, and I modified the TRG-42 mags to work. Chambered in 6.5saum and throated extra long for the 147 ELD, but I’m currently shooting the 150 SMK which likes the jump. Burnt Bronze Cerakote on all the metal.
Is the Near Mfg 20MOA rail bolt on or does it have to be drilled/pinned? Don't see it on their site, do you have a part # and price?
Thanks
I now own this rifle. It loves 285's SHort action is about one hour from me and made my 6.5 RSAUM. They are top notch gun makers. Matches up to my M995 375HH and Tikka Tac A1 260.This is my 42 in 338. Everything is factory except the barrel, brake and top rail

When my TRG-22 was in x47, I had issues with the TRG mags. At the time, I switched to the AI conversion from KRG. The shorter body just didn’t seem to work with the folds in the TRG mags. Guys running Creedmoor or 260 no problem. I tried 3 mags and even worked with Beretta. Now I’m running 6.5 Addiction so I wouldn’t likely have an issue.I have been wanting to set Mine up for the 6.5X47L but I have heard that some have had some feeding and ejection issues with the short case. Great pictures guys. I've sent my M995 last week to PVA to get rebarreled to 300 WM. Trying to decide to keep it in factory stock or switch it to something else.
I have the Optilock rings, does enyone know if they sell different moa plastic inserts like Burris?
West Texas Ordnance. Also they made a spare barrel.Nice, who did the paint?
It is an AK derivative - but I'd prefer to call it an RK....

I wish they'd release their barrel extensions. I want a 300 and 6.5 PRC.News from Shot Show 2020

Hi, I did not ask about the A1. I guess Sako will be replacing old 22/42 line on A1 in the future with the current calibers.Any idea if they will have any other caliber options for the 22/42a1 line?
Yes, it seems they moved to 6.5 Creedmoor because of its popularity.Lovely news! Seems that also Sako is moving from .260rem to 6.5cm so I guess that we have a winner of those 2 ?
6.5cm ammo is also here in Finland cheaper than .260rem.

Can you clarify this?
I mean production of the old chassis will be discontinued in a future. Just my guess. Can you clarify this?
I’d say that the purposes are similar, just a different chassis.I don't think that Sako will replace TRG-22/42 models at all. It's a different rifle for different purpose. Not all people want to have chassis and rails all around.
Personal choice. I sell good shit all the time. So, Am i crazy? I picked up a Tikka TAC and thinking about selling my TRG now. I only shoot up to 300yds and I like how the TAC is much more compact.

@Vargmat how many rounds down the factory .308 barrel?
