Just picked up a brand new Seekins SP10 in 6.5 Creed from a fellow hide member. The rifle was still unfired. I was checking my OAL on some reloads and noticed they were pretty tough to eject manually after chambering. So I picked up a factory Hornady ELD match 140 gr and chambered it. Still having the same issue. Both rounds are 2.81” OAL. After looking at the round I noticed some nasty burrs on the projectile. Is it chambering too deep or just need some breaking in? BTW this is my first large frame gas gun. Thanks

Shoot it. It should be fine. Break it in.

Seat your bullets lower by .020 until the throat erodes enough where you’ll be fine.

I didn’t have to use small base dies on my Seekins.

If all else equal, Seekins has a lifetime no questions asked warranty on workmanship and products.

Good luck, mine loosened up after about 200 rounds or so.

Be sure to clean the chamber of any anti rust preservatives / packing oil.

And those scratches are most likely from the still sharp edges of the reciever extension locking lugs.

And... brand new Large Frame AR's are typically very tight locking for the first 30-50rds... the lugs will wear in ... becoming easier to lock and unlock.
