I was looking on Ebay this morning for a decent in/lb adjustable torque wrench and saw an auction for a Seekonk TSF-175 with no bids and 15 minutes left. So, I ended up with a used Seekonk 0-175 ft/lb torque gauge w/ case for $23 shipped. Now, I know it's used so calibration is suspect, but it's also a Seekonk so I have more faith in it being correct than a used Craftsman or Snap On from the pawn shop.

So, how accurate are these at the extreme ends of their range? It says 0-175 but I would imagine at 1 ft/lb or 4 ft/lb that is pushing it. It's a bit big for doing gun stuff I think, so hopefully I can clean it up and turn it around to make enough money to get a decent in/lb model.

I know, it's more a question out of curiousity than anything. Their website says +/- 3% so I was curious if that was over the whole 0-175 ft/lb range or not. Since 65 in/lb is ~ 5.5 ft.lb it could conceivably be used for that if it is indeed accurate all the way through its range.

But, like I said its a bit big for working on guns but for 23 bucks I couldn't pass it up, tools to me are like shoes to a woman.
