She's Slapping Da Bass Mon

That would be a lot more impressive if she were in bra and panties.

Look at the length of her fingers...think what they could do to your.....

Just ran across this thread after thinking about not having a set of drums for so long... I went to an arts high school in New Orleans for half of each day. From about 2nd grade on (I was a drummer) it was a regimented world of Buddy Rich, Gene Krupa, Louie Bellson, Max Roach, etc. But when my mom moved out to the burbs when I was in 7th grade I was exposed to a world of Zep (John Bonham), King Crimson (Bill Bruford), Emerson Lake and Palmer (Carl Palmer). This was a forbidden world so I had to sneak things in. In 1979 I got to see Frank Zappa and he was with a drummer I had never heard of before, Vinnie Colaiuta. I was hooked but had to keep a lid on my fusion intent until senior year. So getting a little nostalgic here I Googled old Vinnie and saw this video of him with Jeff Beck. The first Beck tune I learned was Led Boots, with Michael Narada Walden. Vinnie does an incredible job, of course. And I have no idea who the chick bassist is, but she flat out rocks.

Ok, so she's not much to look at but the music makes me twitch for another set of tubs. Fuck, I wish I had the time...
