300 yard target
.223 OK. Sorta a p***y gun.
.22-250 Better but no knock down at 300 yards.
.308 I don't care for.
<span style="font-weight: bold">.30-06 Oh hell yes. 300 yards grouped 4 within 1/2"</span>
Bushnell scope ...Savage .30-06 bolt action $389.00 plus tax and he throws in 100 rounds.</div></div>

Is that possible with the 30-06? New to long range shooting and dont know what is and what isnt possible. Thanks!

300 yards is a chip shot with the 06' in a bolt gun, however 1/2" is pretty damn good shooting. When you hand load and are no longer restricted to silly loads an velocities that the mfg's have to make. I drive mine at 2800fps with a 210gr Berger and I hit trans-sonic 10 yards from 1 mile, give or take
