Just got my gun back from Chou Brothers precision and all I can say is wow. This gun is perfectly put
together. In my opinion they are one of the best smiths in the Canada
This gun started as a model 10. Put it in a Tac 21 with a PRS and ergo grip.
The barrel is a Bartlein 5r 1 in 8 heavy varmint cut to 30" in 260 AI
Rifle basics trigger
Vortex HST 6-24 and vortex rings and level
Now for the not so common stuff
The action has been glued in for accuracy and allows me to switch barrels easily. Plan to get a 284 win for shooting f class next year and keep the AI for precision.
One of the best additions I have made to this gun is a Mercury recoil reducer. It allows me to watch my shot at 200 yards with out a brake.
Also have a delron rear bag rider that fits perfectly to an edgewood bag. If you are interested in one of these to PM me to get more info.
load is 46.3 grains of 4831 short cut, 140 berger hybrid, cci primers, lapua brass. Forgot the crony so no numbers. Should be around 2850
Did my second round of load testing today and think I am close to done. Grouping calculates out to .214 MOA at 200 yards. That is 4 shot group b/c the first CB hit low.
