Whether hit from up close or a distance, the projectile has a permanent wound channel, and a surrounding “Temporary wound channel”. It is a channel shaped in a cylinder, mediated by the type of tissue the bullet passes through. Soft tissue like the neck, will blow out in a ragged wound, causing rupture even of vessels not directly transected by the projo. Also, he wasn’t DRT. He was conscious of the hit, and was reaching for his own wound. That didn’t last of course, as circulation to the brain was stopped by half, immediately.
This is a sad day, and Charley is a Martyr.
