Here I am shooting my 510 whisper with an AWC suppressor and 975 grain lead cast bullets. Hope you enjoy.

Looks nice. I shoot an Encore in 510 whisper using 950 cast bullets from a mold made by Cast Bullet Enginering in Australia, a 800 grain NEI bullet as well as lighter surplus AP, ball, API and tracer.

Where did you get the 975 grain bullets? From the sounds of things, that target was about 50 yards away. How is the accuracy at long range?

I got the projectiles from Ranger Rick. The target is 100 yards away. At that range I am getting a 3-4" group. I have just started shooting these projectiles so I cannot comment about longer ranges yet.

I am using gas checks but they are not required. Do you use gas checks in a suppressed 22 LR?

Re: Suppressed 510 Whisper with 975 grain lead cast

Based on my experience, gas checks do NOTHING to keep the lead out of a silencer. My 510 whisper can is a friggin mess after using cast loads in it, just like my 22lr can. I always use gas checks for accuracy reasons on the 44, 458 and 510 caliber bullets I shoot.

No, but a .22 can usually is a take-apart so you can clean the lead out. Is your can a take-apart, too?

Nope....im not worried about it...they both can be cleaned...

Very cool! Waiting on my suppressor to clear to me. 2" x 16" with stepped baffles. Very quiet. Have it in a McRee Precision chassis system. Still deciding on glass for it. Can't wait to get it out to play!

I want to see video of you shooting a pig with that. Very nice. I have a AWC on order for mine but have a long wait still...
