I've always thought GAPs were too expensive for what they were. Whenever Id go to their website and and add up parts and labor there was always a big differential in a ground up build and one of their "personality" rifles like the scrimitar, or gladius. Not to jump on a hate train but that is what always held me back. I guess one could assume that extra differential of profit is what guarantees you a flawless build, but then I've heard of plenty of mistakes coming out of their shop just like everyone else too. And now these days of course you can assemble a full house comp gun in your basement yourself for a little over $3000. I remember guys in that era talking about their Gap rifles shooting half moa. Hell, I have McGowan prefit button rifled barrels that shoot half moa these days.
