Maggie’s THE JUST F'N SEND IT PODCAST

What a crazy story. Thanks for sharing with us what happened. Fucking hell.

What's amazing about all of this is that Brian and Dave were essentially handed a golden opportunity to gain from this through a viable company that was produced. That dumbass from the faux 3-stripe army actually did a lot of work in establishing Hoplite into a brand that we ate up in this community. We actually liked what he was promising, and now that he's removed from the situation, Brian and Dave can really turn this into something neat.

That was a lot of time and money lost, and a lot of BS. But the upside looks really promising. And kudos to Dave and especially Brian on how they handled the situation.

Excited to see what the future of Hoplite holds. I'm rooting for you guys.

their still above proof spec but moron had his way

i think ill sell them a book ends on some walnut or something lol

maybe he can make some in the woodworking shop when hes out of D-Block :p
My birthdays coming up in a few months or late Christmas present I’m not picky 🤣

One could go into "The Upper Room" podcast studio (aka- my reloading room) like Joe Rogan has a bunch of shit given to him that he puts in his studio. IJS.

render them unserviceable first.

What I gathered from this podcast is y’all have an open sales position, I can sell guns

Side note, listened to the whole thing in one sitting. Brianf seemed like a good guy when this first started, and the more I hear my opinion hasn’t changed at all Even if he is a New Yorker he’s a stand up guy 😄

Most of us don’t suck…at least the Italian ones anyway

Since really nobody on the hide knows what @brianf looks like, lemme tell you.

Brian looks like an Italian boss from Casino that wears a gold bracelet, pinky ring, gold Rolex, and drives a '66 Lincoln Continental with 3 rival mafia dead bodies in the trunk and a Tony Bennett 8 track in the deck.

Now you know what Brian looks like. He looks just as he sounds, unlike our Ukrainian from Louisiana Jihadi.

Pretty sure someone posted a pic that was supposedly of him at some point, but I could be mixing things up in my memories too.

I posted a few pics years ago on a thread as I was touring the WH with a trump hat on

I was busted on for that particular photo looking like “cousin Eddie” from Christmas vacation. Lol

…big nose

‘96-‘02 I worked the docks at Staten Island, Red Hook and Port Elizabeth and Newark. I sure miss the food. I don’t miss the traffic. It’s going to be hard to pry me out of Alaska.

What an abject failure of leadership and control. Doesn’t sound like Brian did any due diligence. Who sets up a company, partnership and hires employees and subcontractors without references, bank account details, ID and background checks. Basic stuff.

Nobhead sounds like a piece of work but he’s not the only one guilty of stupidity here. This was not the most sophisticated scam, more a complete failure of leadership.

Said it 100 times it’s all on me.

Stupidly…

I thought that needing FFL paperwork and alike would limit the kind of person I was dealing with.

Never even thought that he would be falsifying documents and sending me fake name contract's.

And then I double down on my stupidity thinking that someone who goes into business in a industry that is printing money the last 10 years, actually wants to steal money and not make 10X more legitimate money.

But as I found out, it takes all kinds.

forgot to add,

stupidity and lack of due diligence on my part does not make stealing legal or excuse unethical practices

Very rich.
Ethics. 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
Like “paying the bills” and reading a believed to be private PM on an internet forum?

Go on, tell me again how cool you and your Ferrari are.

if you want we can bring this to the public as well, im more than happy to...if you couldnt tell from the podcast

please inform me of bills that are unpaid.. its not like i asked on the Hoplite thread for several weeks while paying other bills

yet NO PM's in my inbox

ethics huh, you who never had a horse in the race and never spent a penny with Hoplite; yet feel its your right to imply that im not ethical and not paying my bills

your crew has motioned that several times and have been proven wrong every time, but thats the internet, no accountability or consequences for lying

and because i have a spec of moral character unlike some other people i did not put their name the hoplite thread, outing them for poor information

maybe i should have

id tread carefully with what you believe is truth, you maybe surprised what comes out...i wont

lets see who wants to play:

i will even post the PM's i sent to several guys and received no answer although they are posting on the hide all day every day

if you want we can put his name or names up right here and now... lets have the discussion out in the open

everyone bring their bills, invoices and verified documents to the table and we can hash it out right now before lunch

then we can ask them why they have not contacted me personally since im the guy writing checks

after that we can see whos telling the truth and who is just playing keyboard warrior

and yes i like sports cars...god forbid

better i should drive a busted up 1990 minivan like i used to...will we be friends then?

if you listened to the podcast i even said, i used to race a little when i was younger

I’ve seen that as well.

david found it while the drama was unfolding.

I’m not sure but I think that is his name that he made a acronym for.

I could be totally wrong and it’s the other way around too.

That’s what I was trying to explain in the podcast…every day there was some crazy 180 degree twist that I didn’t know if it was real or fake.

Ive got about 30 min left in the podcast and can't believe how deep this continues to get. I hope that this guy gets what he has coming in the end.

OH! Initial of last name REVEALED!
All the cool kids picked up the bread crumbs and know. Just turn his tactics against him and google. People are just being nice and not blasting it everywhere to cause them more problems.

the theis podcast is crazy. The crazy thing I don't understand is once he realized that this could be a real job and make ligament money doing this why didn't he just stop scamming and try to go legit. Also when are you going to be doing the give away?

Sounds like it may have been the other way around.

Tried to make it ligit then reverted back to scamming and getting what he could. Like a moth to a flame.

Pretty interesting podcast, finally finished it up.

the way brain and David Thomas handled the whole situation is just amazing and goes to show there true character. I am in the poor category right now so I wont be buying one of hoplights rifles but you guys always will have my support for the way you handled this situation.

Just me thinking out loud.

I think, the "scam" was before he ever met Brian. We were the one's that were the true target of the initial scam. The scam was just a fake identity in hopes of creating this "subject matter expert" in a field of which he has no authority or qualifications to be considered a SME. He ran across Brian and when the opportunity presented himself, he thought "this is my shot." I believe if things were to never been questioned of him, Theis would still be a part of Hoplite and amongst us today, playing his role. When the kitchen started to get hot, he panicked, and his crooked ass wife pushed him by saying, "the gig is about to be up, lets cash in while we can and pop smoke." I really feel his main motivation was to be validated as an authority in the firearms realm. He had to use a fake name and fake back story b/c his real name and history would prevent him from being anyone of importance. He had long since burnt that name (his real name) in the community and nobody would give him a second thought. Once the gig was up, "lets get what we can get and move on. Its been fun but its got to end." If it was some scam dedicated to financial gain, he would have somehow taken Brian for a much bigger monetary ride than what he did. Not minimizing what was stolen, but lets face it, it wasn't $750k where he could live like a king in Mexico. Either way, he's a piece of shit and needs to fry for it. Brian has done the right thing on all accounts since the revelation of who Theis was. Everyone has been made whole except for Brian. Ive spent a lot of time thinking about this since i found out what was happening, and even more since the podcast with Dave and Brian. This is what i keep coming back to that best makes things seem plausible. But wtf do i know? Ive been wrong a couple times before. :)

Just finished up the podcast this morning. Crazy story. Good on you guys for taking the high road. Hope it all works out for Hoplite moving forward. Excited to hear more about the future of the rifle and other adventures you have planned.
Best of Luck.
Nate.

i agree he didnt walk away with a pure check...although he could have by not paying the bills and walking...totally screwing me

dont think he just siphoned the wifes fees

i funded a lifestyle for over 2 years
car (piece of crap that he choose)
living in shop, so i was paying his rent
which i paid to build out as well
i was paying the cable and utilities etc
paid to move him and inventory to shop
funding travel for his idiotic decisions
he was mowing lawns while i was paying him a weekly wage

although he didnt walk away with a "check" start adding things up and its not as small as you think

im along the same lines but not being able to talk to him again leaves me on the fence as well

is it just a:

ego trip

power trip

daddy didnt love me so i need to exert my dominance by a new character

long play, build up my rep and find a idiot like me/brian to scam.. i dont think he was smart enough to plan that far out although i think he was quick thinking enough to ramp up fast

he was heavy/fat several years ago and he looks like crap compared to shot show 2020 (pics above)...did he get back on pills..opioids kill teeth?

his teeth were shot, the wife wanted a new "smile", as they were contacting dentists for "new smiles"

he might of wanted to go straight but once they saw a few bucks the partying started and then went back to making bad decisions?

so many answers id love to find out but at the end i think it will wind up being something boing

.... a life long looser scammer snagged me

then he wasnt smart enough to get out before he flew to close to the sun, or wasnt smart enough to spin it to legit money

i hope its more involved so its a cool story for my grandkids lol
