Hey fellas, we just came out with a "big screen" TargetCam model. Since coming out with it just 3 weeks ago, this new Big Screen unit has quickly become our best seller. This unit uses a 10.5" screen vs our standard unit that has a 7". It is built into the larger Pelican Storm iM2300 case which allows you to put up to 4 cameras in it for packing multiple camera/target setups to the field. A lot of our customers get 1 or 2 cameras so this bigger case gives you a lot of room for other stuff like ammo, ear protection, kestrel....the big screen unit is available in the Sniper's Hide store link at the top of the page or click here:

Target Cam®? The ?High Tech? Spotting Scope

Here are a few pics we took of both units this past weekend.

Our standard unit is built into a Pelican Storm iM2100. The big dog is built in a Pelican Storm iM2300. You can google these cases to find the dimensions of each. These cases are tuff, waterproof, beautiful....and chicks dig them.

Big screen with 3 cameras, ear protection, ammo. When you have a couple of cameras it's really nice to have the extra space for other gear - packed away dry and safe. The big screen unit will actually hold up to 4 cameras inside. Multiple cameras for placing them on multiple targets downrange, each camera is set on it's own channel, toggle to view each location...once you get used to using this system you'll never go back.

Of course, there's nothing wrong with our standard unit - 7" screen, can hold 1-2 cameras. Not as much storage room but it also doesn't take up as much room on a shooting bench.

Big Screen unit with auxiliary antenna and camera:

The typical camera, antenna, target setup for long range target viewing. The camera is a safe 20 feet from the target on a small tripod, the auxiliary antenna is mounted next to it on a full size tripod. This is the setup for long-extreme long range. With the auxiliary antenna attached the system is capable of clearly displaying shots on target at over 3000 yards away.

TargetCam has been a sponsor of the Sniper's Hide cup the last 2 years. Here is a shot of our system in use this last summer for scoring hits at the target out at 1150 yards. It wouldn't have been possible to score this stage without the use of our system.

If you have any questions about these high performance spotting systems that we build please don't hesitate to call me directly. The link in the Sniper's hide cart is the best way to buy them and some of your purchase also goes to support this great site.

If a bunch of you guys want to go together and do a "group buy" for our units we could work a very good deal for Hide members.

Hey gents, I spent the day out at our local county range north of Reno for a TargetCam demo day. The range master out there organized a good group of people who came out to see our system in action. There were about 15 people who met us out there at 8 this morning (Monday). Demo days are my favorite part of running this business. Any long range shooter that is even half way serious about improving their skills is always very interested and enthusiastic about our product. It's rewarding.

14" X 14" steel target out at 700 yards. These targets worked well today because they were painted black. Hits then show up clearly as light gray pealing off the black paint. Notice the battery on the ground under the camera. We do this for extended all day running. The battery inside the camera is good for a 5-6 hour run time. With the extra battery plugged in this setup is good for 10-12 hours of run time on one charge. We supply the extension cord that plugs into the charging port on the side of the camera. Total piece of cake to set up - literally 10 seconds. For a while I was looking into solar panels to run the cameras for extended use but in the end decided to scrap that idea because this is the easiest and cheapest way to run all day.

here's a pic taken from the 700 yard target looking back at the firing line below. Not much to say about this pic other than it was a beautiful day out there today.

back at the shooting bench - shots on the 14 inch plate way out at 700. This pic is of the standard 7" screen:

a group buy price for all "inmates" of the Hide....depending how many are in, I'm thinking something along the lines of $100 off the normal price of a big screen unit and $50 off the regular unit??? How does that grab ya??? Also free shipping in the US and we can help some with shipping of international orders. If you are interested in this post a comment in this thread. We will run this "group buy" through Frank's store here on the site so that a portion of each purchase also goes to the site.

How much is a one cam system with the bigger monitor?

Hey Doc...good to hear from you. The big screen single camera unit is $1085 on our web site. With the group buy that we're talking about here on the Hide it's $985.

Yesterday we had a couple of standard units and a couple of big screen units setup next to each other using them side by side out at the range. The big screen has a noticeably better picture when you have them both side by side. The screens that we use in the bigger unit is not just bigger, it's also a better quality unit internally. If you were to go buy just the screen alone it would run you about $340. Yesterday we never had a case where you could see shots on the big screen that you couldn't see on the standard unit, it was just a case of seeing them somewhat easier and clearer on the big screen. One thing to consider though is the big screen unit has a substantially larger footprint so it takes up more space on your shooting bench.

here's a link that gives the dimensions of the larger iM2300 that we build the big screen system into:

iM2300 Storm Case?

What is the most cameras the system can accommodate? How much per extra camera on the group buy? How soon can you ship?

You can have up to 6 cameras down range. Each camera is set on it's own channel. Toggle to each channel on the base unit to view each location. We also have hunters using our systems for surveillance. They put cameras on bait piles then sit around the campfire dialing around to the different channels waiting for game to come in. Lots of hog hunters down south doing this.

We can do $250 per camera for the group buy price.

When would a single cam with larger monitor arrive if I ordered?

Hey Doc...since you've wanted one of our units for a long time I will expedite your order to the front and get it out this coming week. For other people who order we should be able to get them out in 3-4 weeks.
