I can't help but like Sonnen's personality. I listened to him on the Joe Rogan Experience podcast and he is a trip. When it comes to the upcoming fight, I just don't think he can bring anything that Silva isn't prepared for. Either was I think it will be entertaining!
The other factor that people seem to overlook is the HRT (hormone replacement therapy). In Sonnen's last fight he looked terrible and IMO nowhere near capable of beating Anderson. Sonnen has since been been granted the use of HRT for low testosterone and now will be "hitting on all cylinders" so to speak. I think a fighters level of testosterone can be crucial to not only the fight itself but the training camp as well. No one can predict what is going to happen when the cage closes, but I think it's safe to say the fight will be entertaining. I along with many others will be watching this fight to hopefully see somebody finally beat Anderson. He is the Floyd Mayweather of mma.
From the way it was covered in the media (FUEL TV) just after in the post game, it looked a little premature for the ref stepping in and calling it TKO.... Kind of a disappointment.
That was really disappointing. I wanted to see more angles of the knee, I thought it was pretty questionable. I looked like it him in the face. I don't know what to think after that one.
I think title shots shouldn't be called. Let those guys fight it out. Think about the fights you've seen where a guy looks finished just to roll out and get back on his feet.
I've seen more questionable calls in the last 3 years in the UFC than ever.

The refs are starting to ruin it. </div></div>
Yes, I do agree that refs sometimes stop fights a little early but it's for the safety of the fighters and the progression of the sport. If a fighter died in the octagon it would be a major setback for the sport. If you watch the replay..... Chael was dazed and didn't answer several punches. He was done
It's funny that they went through all the camera angles and in slow motion to see that Koscheck was not hit by a knee in a fight about two yrs ago. When all angles made it look like the knee hit him in the right side of his face but one. They only used one in this fight. Although it looked like the knee hit Sonnon in the lower chest. I still would like to see the other angles. The ref has the responsibility to protect the fighter and Sonnon was covering up and not trying to reposition but who knows look at what happened two weeks ago with Franklin he got up and won. Sonnon might of just needed a couple of second more to get a better position to protect himself. Silva punches only hit Sonnon's arms when Franklin was getting pounded to the head not arms.
Anderson should have been DQed for the knee to the downed opponent! That is NOT legal. both feet and hands on the ground and he knees him in the face? No way. Ref looked like he was going in to wave it off in favor of Sonnen but pulls up and doesn't do a damn thing. These refs are as corrupt as boxing judges.
I was pulling for Sonnen, looked good in the first. Knee looked questionable to me but I am not a judge or a ref so will take their judgement as being what it is. Would like to see Spider and GSP go a few rounds, could be interesting.

I'd much rather see Jones fight Silva. </div></div>
Forgot about that one, yes that would be impressive to say the least. I will have to agree with you on that one.
Weidman just put the beat down on Munoz. No early stoppage on this one, unlike Silva an Sonnon. Weidman then he called out Silva, I hope it happens soon but Silva usually only fights once a year.
