I've been trying to find an online tool to calculate center of mass of an irregular shape. It will be laser-cut, and I just want to put a tack in the center of mass so it can be spun on a flat surface.
I know how to do it with the final object but I would like to cut a small hole for the tack at the time the shape is cut.
I envision a tool that allows me to upload a simple outline/bitmap and then calculates the center assuming uniform density of the material - which will be the case as I'll be cutting it from acrylic or similar.
Everything I've found assumes uniform/geometric shapes, which this will not be. It's a somewhat complex shape, an outline of a national symbol.
