what contour for a remington 700 AICS? buddy bought it for a build and im more used to McMillans.

I believe the barrel channel is just about as open as you can get in an AICS. Meaning you should be fine with a straight 1.200" barrel, if you really wanted.

Yeah you shouldnt have a problem with clearance on the AICS, Just how heavy do you want the rifle to be. Shooting a .223 I would go with a #7 20" barrel myself.
