Where are my 3 gunners at?

I've been curious to try out the Magpul stock on my 1301 but the adapters are never in stock. Whats the shortest LOP you can get with it?

Trying something new.

Recently verified my slug POI with the Remington Sluggers I normally have on hand. 5 shots from prone and I decided it was finally time to check out these low recoil slugs everyone else is using. Shooting them back to back with standard power slugs was eye opening. Can't believe I've been beating myself up needlessly for this long. Put 5 on paper at 80 yards too, the 4 I didn't yank the trigger on went into 4", centered but just low of the top of the bead. Not bad considering the bead covers about 8" at that distance.

More modding on my backup shotgun. Put in the MOA heavy-bolt system to cycle light loads. I’ll see if it’ll run 1145’s this weekend. Also slapped on a +8 for a total of 12 in the tube.
The factory carrier is 5.9 oz I believe. Or was it 5.6? Anyway the modded carrier is 7.6 oz or so and also comes with a lighter spring. Core exchanging the factory carrier so I should get some money back.

@TonyTheTiger I’m going to have to try the 7/8 slugs too.

Beretta 1301 Comp Pro. Why does it make my balls tingle?
Anyone have release info?

Can't find a price yet, but I'm already looking under the couch cushions.

Literally every time I think I'm set with my gear something like this comes out. I will die poor.

I’m with you. I was browsing and laid eyes on the new model. I’m going to get one now even though I’m perfectly content with the M2 and M3K.

Got some proper patterning in this morning at the range.
Chokes were Briley Spectrum models in IC and LM. Distance was 10, 15, and 20 yards with 2.75 dram 1oz #7.5 out of a 24” M3K.

Also shot some Sluggers to see where POA/POI was. I have to hold 6 o’clock and it’s “on”.

The MOA heavy bolt system worked and my shotgun cycled 1145’s no issues except for one weird short stroke. Prob shot over 150 shells of various loads today.

I've been known to 3 gun a bit. Started in 2009 at the OKC Gun Club with legendary shooters like Kurt Miller, Jesse Tischauser, Chris Andersen, Curly, Javier, The Mikes, Rusty, Jake, etc etc. Then we started making the trips to Tulsa at USSA, Fort Smith Arkansas, 3 Mils Right in St Jo Texas, and other matches. I would literally shoot at least one match a weekend and sometimes two, I once shot three matches in a single weekend. Those were the days!

Now I live in BFE in the Texas panhandle. I sometimes shoot 3 gun in the Amarillo area or make the drive to Garden City Kansas. I miss the good ol' days of 3 gun. Since living out here in more open country, I've been dipping my toes into the long range games, but 3 gun will always be my favorite and best gun game.

Stopped by Briley this AM to drop off my M2 barrel to get the forcing cone lengthened. See what it’s all about. Should take a week. Getting the factory bolt release lever milled and tapped for their EZ Lever as well.

All this homework really pays off. I never did any of it till a local MD started putting no shoots in all the shotgun target arrays. Humbling stuff right there, realized I didn't actually know much about my gun.

Indeed. Now I know the limitations of the chokes and what I can get away with. The last match I attended had some really tight shots.

Didn’t look like it but the shots were tight near the barrels. You can see my smack the prop (wall) too when I was moving lol.
I was using a LM choke.

I miss the days of simple knock over steel or clays for shotgun. All the matches my way are using either the T&N Armory hinged knock overs or 3-4" heavy wall pipes cut about 8-12" tall. The hinged plates take a square hit, too much angle and they won't go, and the hinges get beat up and sticky. The heavy pipe takes a centered hit, the edge of your pattern won't do it.

Got a little practice in today. Pretty simple mini stage. Long rifle steel was a 10" plate at 400yds, harder than it sounds hence all the setup time. I think the second run is the only one you can hear the hit very well. Third run has a cool ricochet into a plate at the back berm, and some matchsaver practice to mix things up.

Quick feet!
I ordered some knock down steel to set up my own practice course.
My theory is, if I never get really good at shooting at least I'll get to my next target fast!
My previous place of employment had a huge scrap steel bin and all the fab tools I needed to make plates and stands for free. Kinda miss that part of it..

Also got the PCC out. This thing is so much fun it's ridiculous. If I ever gave up on 3 gun it'd be so I could play PCC every weekend.

They like taking turns playing RO as well as pretending to be shot timers. Official range commands and everything.

Since I’m home sick I decided to strip down an SBR upper I had. Going to Cerakote the barrel a bright ass color and add an adjustable gas block to it with an obnoxious brake. I’m still deciding on the color.
This barrel has seen better days. Gonna make an SBR 3 gun stick.

I've wanted an SBR 3 gun rifle for awhile. I shoot often with this guy and he shows up with like 12" rifles all the time and still kicks ass.

The barrel I’m using is 10.3” and pretty lightweight. I thought about my Noveske Crusader which is 12.5” but it’s a pig. I’m going to keep it light.
So the color I’m going to use is H-122 Gold Cerakote. I’ll post up after I get it done.

I like the SJC brake but any other ones worth considering on the short barrel?

I've noticed a few companies don't recommend barrels shorter than 16" for use with their brakes. Emailed a couple to ask why but no responses yet. I've been eyeballing the Precision Armament Hypertap, American Precision Arms the Answer and the Ultradyne Apollo Max lately.

MSRP on Beretta website is 1600$, so more than the current 1301 comp.
Does anyone know if the Aridus furniture adapters and Crom mount will work on this one?

Disregard. I was on beretta’s corporate page and not US.

Me, too. But no release date, but sometime this year. Does anyone know if the gun will be able to be imported with the extended tubes?

Aim small miss small. 3” knock downs.

I wonder if the trigger group with the fancy upward locking lifter is backwards compatible with the original 1301. That's probably the feature I'm most excited about.

Haven't seen it mentioned in videos that I've seen, are you thinking about trying to retrofit to an older 1301?

Not seriously considering it, just a thought I had when I didn't see any obvious differences between the old and new receivers.
