Which Discrete Carry Case Now???

I just received an Eaghle discrete carry case and my AR with an 18" barrel does not fit (even with the flash hider removed). I typically use Eagle but they don't seem to have the proper case available. Who is next in line for quality.

Tactical Taylor (not real pleased with the look of their product), Blackhawk (theirs has possibilities), or ????

I am trying to stay away from the bottom end...who else is on the top end that should be considered?

Thanks
Pat

Re: Which Discrete Carry Case Now???

Take a look at 5.11 42". It has worked well for me and will hold 2 guns. Also Galatti Intl. has worked well for me but I don't know they fall on the Cheep/ high end scale

Re: Which Discrete Carry Case Now???

Not looking for cheap (Eagle is typically not considered cheap) but looking for a good value (high quality for the dollar).

I have not handled Voodoo Tactical, Tacforce, Galatti or 5.11 but I will take a look. Are any of them on par with Eagle for quality of product or construction?

Wish TacOps made a discrete case as their drag bag has held up well.

I just purchased the voodoo tactical as well in 46" and love it. Has plenty of compartments for eveything I own. The price was right as well.

Re: Which Discrete Carry Case Now???

I like the voodoo tactical stuff, but I wouldn't put it quite on par with Eagle for quality but at gun shows around here they typically are half the price as well. That said I've never had a voodoo fail on me, but I think eagle has better zippers.

That aside I see no reason for a "discrete" case since none of them I've seen yet are anything near discrete to anyone even those that know nothing about guns easily spot them, especially if they are over 25-30" long (IE not breaking down the upper/lower).

I'd rather have a version with some pockets to put my gear in or a drag bag since everyone is already going to know it's a gun anyway.

+1

Just picked up the Voodoo drag bag shooter mat and it has everything I need.
