Your forgetting the fact that the people in charge of our country who get us into fights with other countries always personally profit handsomely off of doing so. Yes, your idea would save billions of dollars not to mention many lives, but it would also cut off their money stream and they don’t really give a crap about anyones life other than their own; they especially don’t care about kids lives, just look at their response to the SC overturning R v W. It’s not about what’s best for this country, it’s about what’s best for them. Reality sucks.

OP, per your original post. Wanting to remove jackasses and removing said jackasses are two very different things. Remember, we said that about Saddam aft Gulf War I. Quite a few took us up on that and were rather unceremoniously disposed of when we didn't honor our rather underhanded commitment. Don't think that went unnoticed. The US hasn't been the most reliable partner of populist movements the last hundred years or so.
