Night match last night. Suppressors required. Like a jackass, I left my brand new Sandstorm back home. >:-\

Anyway, I borrowed a friends Gemtech and we switched it back and forth. Really funny thing.... Slight impact shift at zero. Couple tenths of a mil.

Dope was spot on out to 500Y. Ringing steel like no tomorrow. 12x24" and 18x24 torso targs.

At 600Y ONLY, I was 1 mil low. Hitting in the low belly of a B27.

Re: Wierd Suppressor Issue

I went back and double checked all the steel.

I can find hits consistently on the steel that are dead center and .8MIL low across the board. I had to be tagging the very bottom edge of everything I shot at.

I worked out how low the hits were from were I had aimed, converted that into the distance subtended by 1/10MIL at that range, and pretty much across the board I wind up .8 low.

At night you can't tell where you are hitting the steel; only that it's been hit. Pretty interesting how this worked out. I hope somebody can learn from it.

First rule: Bring your OWN suppressor. ;-)

Re: Wierd Suppressor Issue

That's not bad at all IMO for a untested suppressor shift. More fortunate is the fact that there was no lateral/side shift, but rather a straight elevation shift.
Pretty neat. Hows the shift with your sandstorm?
