picked up a new rifle today, long story short came from someone who owed someone money, mine now for a small fee. never seen one of these before. rifle is in Excellent condition. The bolt and action looked like they have barely been cycled. the bore of the barrel looked pristine. Only way I could tell that it was fired was a little bit of deposits in the brake. My question is mainly about brake, how effective is it? Looks factory and adjustable? the holes seem to be aimed slightly forward is that Right? and what is the thread pitch if I decide to put a different brake on it? Any Insight on the rifle is appreciated! all I shoot is heavy barreled remmy 700's, but this is way lighter to carry for hunting. pics:

only real blemish are wrench marks on the brake from some dumbass

caliber is a 30-06. scope is a cheap-o 3-9x40 barska something with 4 lil hash marks on either side of the cross hairs, not mil dots dunno what the hell they are, don't really care. Thanks for looking

the break is very good. the BOSS (ballistic optimizing shooting system) is a great idea but not really worth the hype. You are supposed to be able to move the nut to find the "sweet spot" for the load you will be shooting. To me, it took too long to find it, I handload so it was easier to adjust the load to find the right mix.

Not sure of the pitch of the threads...

overall you have a great gun.
