Good choice, I was going to say an rcbs 510 but the 505 is a standard on its own. Thanks Guys.
I ended up ordering a ohsus 505. I have used my friends Dillon beam scale and like it. Yes it's old school, but so am I.

The 505 is a good scale and a solid choice.Good choice, I was going to say an rcbs 510 but the 505 is a standard on its own.
Did you get the scale yet? I'm interested in the differences of the old made in the USA 505's and the new ones. Don't get spooked, if it works it works. Thanks Guys.

Pretty amazing I just received this one today and compared it against Ohaus and Redding....wow. Hope it stays this way. I mean I can eyeball the beam to maybe .05 or .025 if I'm really focusing, but the digital seemed to be within .05 I did about 20 drops.I have checked this thing with the lyman check weight kit and it measures legit down to .02 accurately. It counts each kernel of H4350. For 18 bucks it's super legit.
I've checked every powder charge from my intellidropper with it sooooo around 2000 counting random auto drum checks as well and it's still dead on within .02ish and I check it against my 505 every once in a while just for my OCD lolPretty amazing I just received this one today and compared it against Ohaus and Redding....wow. Sorry it took so long for my reply. I was waiting on a set of check weights to test the accuracy of the scale. More on those weights in a bit.
The fit and finish of the scale is ok. Blems in the paint but I guess this is a case of you get what you pay for. On a level bench I nearly ran out of adjustment to zero the scale.
However at the end of the day it's as accurate, or maybe more so then my charge master light. It confirmed the 20g check weights actually weigh 20.2g (thanks lymanm).
I'll try to add some pics to show the Blems in the fit and finish.

So it's a Chinese fake of a scale Ohaus now has manufactured for them...... in...China.I hate to burst your bubble...that scale may indeed be a fine accurate scale, but it is not an Ohaus 505. It is a fake made from an RCBS chinese scale.
This is a vintage Ohause 505:

Not laughing. More like cringing. Specs say "Error range: ±0.3g," which is 4.63 gr. That is not only imprecise for reloading, it can be dangerous.Don't laugh, this thing is great: https://www.amazon.com/Digital-Kitc...amir+scale&qid=1610687102&s=industrial&sr=1-4
I check it against my FX120, and it's usually spot on with that, and I use an ASTM class 5 weight to check the FX.Not laughing. More like cringing. Specs say "Error range: ±0.3g," which is 4.63 gr. That is not only imprecise for reloading, it can be dangerous.
So just to be clear: you have a FX120 and you’re reloading with a $14 kitchen scale? Makes no sense whatsoever. If that works for you, then good for you. But to suggest that anyone else do it is terrible advice.I check it against my FX120, and it's usually spot on with that, and I use an ASTM class 5 weight to check the FX.
