Hey all,

I remember a thread not too long ago where a guy zeroed at 100 was impacting high at 200 without even touching turrets. I think this was the thread Frank mentioned a suppressor cover could act as a crown. Or maybe it was a different thread, but I remember this being mentioned.

I've started load development recently and I'll adjust my cover back on as it should be, covering the entire suppressor. However, a few rounds into a group, the damn thing has slid forward. Now it's got me wondering if that is skewing my results. I should probably buy one of those covers that comes down all the way to the barrel and won't slide off.

Anyone care to share any stories on this particular topic?

Ordered a barrel and was asked 5 or 6 groove rifling. Going to sound stupid here but what is everyone shooting? Does it make that much of a difference? I’m far from a professional. Initial research claims bullet/jacket deformation with 6 groove. I watched the bartlein video and he says 5. Everything seems conflicting so looking for info from folks who use and know this stuff. Barrel is a 26” heavy varmint 1-8 twist chambered in 6.5 creedmoor. Thanks in advance.

Centerfire PRS comp rifles with the longer barrels and the 20+ lbs of weight make sense for balance and taming recoil. For a 22, not so much maybe?

I’m thinking there may be distinct advantages to using a shorter-barreled, lighter weight rimfire rifle. For just about any stage, building and breaking positions should be easier and faster with a lighter, short-barreled rifle. I think this is especially true for those tricky stages where the rifle has to pushed through slots, slats, fencing, etc. If efficiency in building/breaking positions is improved, then there will be more time for acquiring targets, more time to break a clean press, and you get the idea. If something like this is set up correctly, then maybe it’s worth a few extra points in a competition?

So, I’m thinking about dusting off my Vudoo with the 18” Kukri and mounting it in a chassis like an MPA Hunter Comp.

Thoughts? Do any of you have experience with this?

The father of the 14-year-old Apalachee High School attack suspect was arrested Thursday and charged with manslaughter and other charges.
CBS News reported that law enforcement sources indicated 54-year-old Colin Gray allegedly gave an AR-15 rifle to his son “as a gift … in December 2023.”
The specific charges against the father include “four counts of involuntary manslaughter, two counts of second degree murder and eight counts of
cruelty to children.”
The Georgia Bureau of Investigation (GBI) noted that the charges “stem from Mr. Gray knowingly allowing his son … to possess a weapon.”
GBI called for communities across the state to encourage students “across this state to contact a member of their school faculty with any and all concerns of suspicious behavior that they may see.”
The 14-year-old arrested for the Apalachee High School shooting has been charged with four counts of felony murder.
Barrow County Sheriff Jud Smith spoke at the press conference Thursday night and announced that the nine individuals who were injured in the attack will be making “a full recovery.”
Breitbart News reported that the 14-year-old attacker was stopped by a good guy with a gun. The good guy was a deputy serving as a School Resource Officer.

SOLD Manners Pro Hunter with Mini chassis (Short action). She has been at the range only once. Went back to a KRG chassis.

1. Added a Matthew's Fabrication cheek riser. Easy to adjust, very comfortable, rock solid and convenient to drop down to clean the gun.
2. Added a full length Manners 12 inch LRH Arca rail. (Not currently installed)
3. Removed 1.5mm (0.06 inch) of the bottom fore end (first 1 inch) to fit my TRG bipod. Washer added to reinstall the OEM Pictinny rail.
4. Removed a little material in the back of the stock to clear the rear trigger hanger screw of the CDG action.
