What is President Trump's Strategy?

Do do not understand President Trump's campaign advertising strategy.

Why is he not hammering:

1) High cost of Gasoline?
2) Keystone pipeline cancelation?
3) Energy Importation levels vs Energy Independence?
4) High Grocery prices?
5) High inflation?
6) Increasing unemployment rates?
7) Afganistan?
8) Lousy foreign policy (Two major wars in the world, Ukraine and Gaza).?
9) The Border?
10) The Iraq financial lifting of the hold witch financed the current Gaza War?

And lastly, why is he not saying what is right with America?

I remember President Regan's ad Morning in America:

Presidential ad: “It’s Morning Again in America” Ronald Reagan (R) v Walter Mondale (D) [1984—PRIDE] (youtube.com)

He usually does not hire idiots, but he has a couple of morons as campaign managers.

Ok, I am just another lousy engineer but a updated campaign strategy would put this in the bag.

Crankster

Guide rod doesn’t fit . Help!!

OK, so tried putting my guide rod into my new seven PRC however it goes in at too much of an angle because of the height of the cheek rest. Wondering if I can just shorten the Boretech rod by cutting an inch off the front end of it or any other solutions. pics included

Basically the guide rod is too long and goes in at an angle . I do know per Boretech customer that the guide rod will fit my Zermatt action . Just the cheek rest gets in the way and creates an angle

Shot a match with my Tikka T1x 17HMR

There are not many matches for the hot rimfires but we have a a few matches locally where 22lr, 22WMR, 17HMR, 17Mach2, and precision airguns compete together. This morning I shot the silhouette short course. It is the standard distances (40, 60, 77, 100 meters) on the NRA smallbore rifle silhouettes, shot from the bench. Today I competed using my Tikka T1x 17HMR with LW barrel, Lowey Tuner, Bravo, etc. I used Hornady VMAX sorted by OAL. my OAL range used for the match was 1.350-1.355. The photos give the stats on the ammunition and a view of the rifle. The course of fire was 80 rounds and I managed a perfect score of 80/80. The last time I shot the match in March, I scored 79/80 -- missed a chicken getting cute with my wind hold.
I know there are some 17HMR shooters here so I figured I would let folks know a few of us do get the chance to shoot some club level matches with the caliber.

New Build Questions and Recs

So I just put together a RimX 22lr build on an MDT Elite Chasis and a prefit barrel.. and now I want to put together something in 6.5...

A few questions on a 6.5 build;

Looking to go with a bit more of a traditional stock rather than the full on chasis; McMillan still make stocks that are worthwhile?
Adjustable LOP and comb with a pic rail underneath looks quite nice for the McMillan A-5 and price point is ~$650 msrp.

Is there a quality action available for ~$500-700? Or will it pale in comparison to a ~$1200 action? Open to recommendations here. Needs to have a left handed variant available.

Barrel.. I only have experience with a pre-fit barrel; I'm not sure exactly what goes into the fitting process. If pre-fit is the only way a non-gunsmith like myself can get it together I presume I'll have options limited or paired to what action I'm to get; Anything wrong with an M24 profile? Looks like velocity tops out at a 24'' barrel length?

I got this on a whim and it's pretty darn cool.

Just on a whim I ordered this watch directly from Garmin - directly 'cause I have an account with them, the coyote brown is not available locally, and they have free 2-day shipping. Link to Garmin at the end.

It's the Garmin Instinct 2X Tactical in coyote brown. Very cool, solar powered too. If you look at the picture above it says the battery charge is 28d, as in DAYS! But, kind of a steep learning curve if you want all the trimmings. It works great out of the box but there is sooo much it can do, and there's a lot to read to do that.

Garmin has some other higher end Tactical watches but they are north of $1200. This one was 499, and after you get one you can log in to Applied Ballistics and get their software. Be careful doing that because they will try to charge you $300. When you dig down you can find a neutered version that only holds one rifle at a time for $100, but then I can only shoot one at a time so big F deal.

And it's a lot less than $1200 for the Gamin Tactix but still does everything that one does except a slightly smaller screen, no sapphire glass and no color screen. As for the color screen, have you ever used an iPhone outside in direct bright sunlight? It's useless! Color screens are not good in direct sun. Not this watch. It's B&W screen looks even better!

Be forewarned again, it does so much it will take some time to get it set up the way you want it - LOTS of options. That said I really like the option to turn on the backlight with a gesture, meaning that if its dark and the watch is in plain LED mode it turns the backlight on when raise and turn your arm to look at it!

So far, $499 well spent. Lots of full feature videos on YouTube on how to use all the features.

https://www.garmin.com/en-US/p/884414

PS. I downloaded the Hunt and the fish apps from the Garmin Explore App - both free . Both pretty cool too especially the fish app. You hook a fish, press a button and it records all the data - time, location, etc. Oh, and I did not mention that it tracks like 3-different satellite constellations for navigation (GPS is one of them) at the same time so accuracy is great.

ARs IN 6.8mm REMINGTON SPC

IMG_3697.jpeg

What make / models would you recommend?

Presently have a 20” LWRCi R.E.P.R. in .308 Winchester which is grossly inaccurate for the money I paid.

Would’ve liked the SIX-8 A5 because it does look kewl, if not for anticipating the same issues above (“You don’t get it - it’s built as a 4 MOA combat rifle!”).

I’m not even sure which ones use proper 6.8mm SPC magazines.

Adjustable vs fixed butt stock

So I have abandoned bolt guns cause I just wanna go fast now, and I am just not into PRS matches anymore I been wanting to do field matches as a second shooter. Cause I wanna go fast.

So I have built 2 gas guns one in 223 and 6 ARC.

Seekins DMRs is in 6 ARC it’s waiting on final assembly

223 Lego build with a bunch of parts.

But I have noticed that the buttstock on the 223 have a good bit on side to side play in it. So I am debating on switching to a fixed stock.

Wanted to ask anyone perspectives on a loose buttstock for a fixed one and if it had issues on POI shifts from zero?

SOLD Over 25 cases of Hornady and Barnes ammo for sale various calibers

All prices are shipped in CONUS. Must be legal to ship to your state/city.

Will not sell less than case quantities.

I am sure everyone knows but just to clarify a case is 10 boxes of 20 rounds each or 200 rounds total.

All this ammo been stored in an air conditioned dry place.

You might be wondering why I am selling all this. I bought all this over a four year period with the intentions of having a lifetime supply of ammo in the calibers I shoot. I was tired of not being to find what I wanted or paying outrageous prices for it. At the time I did not reload. Now I am heavily into reloading and don’t shoot factory ammo anymore and want to liquidate all this to free up space and money for more reloading components.

Payment can be PayPal FF, Venmo, Cash App, or Apple Cash. All with no comments. If purchase is made before noon central I will ship that day (M-F) if after noon it will most likely be delayed until the next business day. I will send you tracking information.

Not really interested in any trades except for possibly high end bolt guns, Tangent Theta or Kahles scopes, Berger hybrids, new Alpha or Lapua brass.
