Rock Creek barrel chambered in .260
-from recoil lug to muzzle 23.25"
-5/8-24 muzzle threads
-1in8 twist 5r
-barrel has roughly 600 rounds through it

I purchased this from another hide member years ago. This was prior to one of the recent reiterations of the hide and an old account. Previous owner had 200rnds through it and I did load development and shot 4 local prs matches with it. I decided to chase velocity in the 6mm world and this has spent the time since then as a hunting rifle. In other words it sat in the safe for the past 3 or so years. The only bullets I ran through it were Berger 140 Hybrids at 2750. I settled on a load that got me sub moa and rolled onward. Great shooting rifle. I am consolidating platforms ahead of my first child arriving later this year.

$800 Barreled action only
zelle or cashapp DM for communications please
$1100 $1k with the following:

I also have the following that the buyer will have first access to purchase as a package:

Realistically Best Option for a 7.62 Gas Gun

I am in the market for a 7.62 gas gun. I want something that can own 0-700m with respectable accuracy, while also being extremely reliable. I want it to accept clip on devices as well, and have spare parts available to purchase. I am not partial to it using AR10 pattern mags.

My first choice would be an SR25 as I’ve owned one in the past and it was exceptional. But the cult following makes them impossible to find except for outrageous price gougers, and spare parts are impossible as well.

I’m also looking towards the LMT MARS-H, OBR, SP10, and MR762. I already own a 12in Assaulter MR762 so mags aren’t a deal breaker. If there are any other possible platforms that are recommended I would love to hear them.

I’m looking for input from guys who have experience with these platforms, like what kind of accuracy you get out of them. Thanks gents.

Rock River Arms XM24

Just curious if anyone has had a chance to lay hands on one yet.
I like the idea and the direction they went but seems like they may have priced themselves out of the market for being an unknown.
Have seen two models with two different calibers/barrels per rifle ( 6.5 creedmoor with 300 WM and the other 308win and 338 LM)

Accessories Accessory clean out

Cz457 factory trigger $25
Arken optics 34mm bubble level $15
Atlas bipod cant lock lever $15
Bergara b-14 factory trigger I have multiple of these triggers $25
Weatherby mark v Leupold mounts msg if interested
Winchester model 70 Leupold mount $35
Alamo precision pic rail $20

Msg me offers. I’m just throwing out prices.

Anybody seeing mailboxes being sabotaged and removed?

I went to drop off a house payment on the 1st and there was a sign on the maibox down the road saying to "Go to the main post office to drop mail off." So I went to the main PO and that mailbox was completely missing. I went inside and asked the guy behind the counter what was up with the mailboxes. He said their own mail truck took that mailbox out front out.

Today I went by the main PO and the drive by mailbox in front is still missing so I went inside and delivered a letter. Then just now I see on Nextdoor the first mailxox down the road that was replaced just yesterday had been run over too.

Someone is targetting the mailboxes out here or the Post Office themselves are. It has to do with mail-in voting and ballot stuffing I bet. The US Post office was complicit in fraudulent voting in 2020.

We've always had a bad meth problem out here and one of the methbillies might be going Ernest T. Bass on the mailboxes but that wouldn't explain why the Post Office hasn't replaced the one in front of their off ice after a month. Somethings going on.

Firearms NEW Barrels I need to sell-6mm, 7mm, .30, .375, 416

There is a long story behind why I have all these, but I will skip to the chase. The match barrels I have listed here are from 400+ barrels that were shipped to Hall of Fame shooter and gunsmith Speedy Gonzales, who pin mic'ed and graded all the barrels, and kept back the best barrels. They fire sold the less than perfect barrels. These were for F-Class Team Grizzly, and barrels from this bunch broke a world record and won the FL state championships as well as a lot of other matches 9 years ago. The man who these belong to exited F-Class shooting, and they stayed in his climate controlled garage until now. This is what is left, along with several barrels that Speedy was going to use to build hunting rifles with. Speedy also did all the threading and chambering on the barrels that have been completed. Because barrels are heavy and awkward to ship, you tell me how many and where to, and I will get the commercial shipping price to add to these prices.

Small Rumblings?. . . .

Anybody remember who this 106yr old character is?

Mother-Abigail-stephen-king-the-stand-39875872-431-500.jpg

Anybody remember her sitting on the porch next to the edge of that corn field and saying "Storm's a coming."?

Most storms start with just a trickle or light mist then evolve into something large and out of control.
I am worried that we are already starting to see the light mist.

Sure hope I am proved wrong.
I would love nothing better than to come back here in 24 months and say Yep, I was full of shit and worried about nothing.

Maggie’s Anyone have an old bugle they don’t want?

Many years ago I used to play taps and reveille on bugle at camp. I have fond memories of that but have not owned a bugle in a long time. I’d like to do it again, but have no desire to buy a shiny new or overpriced relic bugle. Just an old dented and tarnished one that I can afford is about right.

Brigadier General Daniel Butterfield

“The tune is a variation of an earlier bugle call known as the "Scott Tattoo", which was used in the U.S. from 1835 until 1860.[8][9] It was arranged in its present form by the Union ArmyBrigadier General Daniel Butterfield, a Medal of Honor recipient.[2] Butterfield commanded the 3d Brigade, 1st Division, V Army Corps, Army of the Potomac[2] while at Harrison's Landing, Virginia[2] in July 1862,[2] and wrote it to replace the customary firing of three rifle volleys at the end of burials during battle.[2] Butterfield's version in July 1862 replaced a previous French bugle call used to signal "lights out". Butterfield's bugler, Oliver Wilcox Norton,[10][2] of East Springfield, Pennsylvania,[11] was the first to sound the new call.[2] Within months "Taps" was used by both Union and Confederate forces.[2] It was officially recognized by the United States Army in 1874.[12]

Captain John C. Tidball, West Point Class of 1848, started the custom of playing "Taps" at military funerals. In early July 1862 at Harrison's Landing, a corporal of Tidball's Battery A, 2nd U.S. Artillery, died[who?]. He was, Tidball recalled later, "a most excellent man". Tidball wished to bury him with full military honors, but, for military reasons, he was refused permission to fire seven rifles three times (‘three volley’ or ‘twenty-one gun’ salute) over the grave. Tidball later wrote, "The thought suggested itself to me to sound taps instead, which I did. The idea was taken up by others, until in a short time it was adopted by the entire army and is now looked upon as the most appropriate and touching part of a military funeral." As Tidball proudly proclaimed, "Battery A has the honor of having introduced this custom into the service, and it is worthy of historical note."[13]

It became a standard component to U.S. military funerals in 1891.“

Ron Unz - Everything you know about WW2 is wrong

https://www.unz.com/runz/why-everything-you-know-about-world-war-ii-is-wrong/

An extensively referenced argument that everything you’ve learned about major elements of World War 2 is wrong. Pearl Harbor, Post War Europe, Holocaust, Hitler, the Soviet Union, FDR, etc.

Pretty compelling.

The implications on the intervening 80 years since 1945 are huge.
