Billards players, is this room layout reasonable for a table?

Figured we might have some billards players on the Hide. I'm buying a new house with a finished basement and I'd like to put a table in the basement. The basement recreation room is 33'x17' and the table is an 8'. Table would be basically centered in the room.

I'd also like to put a TV on the far/left wall and a couch or love seat. I figure if needed, I could move the couch a bit closer to the wall when the table is in use, but ideally I'd like people to be able to sit and watch TV while someone else is playing.

Based on the floor plan and my shitty dry-erase board sketch, is this a viable plan?

BIDENOMICS: Home Foreclosures Rising Nationwide – By 50 Percent or More in Some States!

joe-biden-1200x630.jpg

In another sign that Biden is leading the country to ruin, home foreclosures are rising across the nation.

Some states are handling the problem better than others, which is to be expected, but the simple explanation for this is that more and more people are struggling to afford the cost of living. Biden is ruining people’s lives.

Does anyone remember this even being an issue under Trump?

The FOX Business Network reports:

Home foreclosures are soaring nationwide – and rising fastest in these 5 states
Home foreclosures rose again in February as Americans continue to grapple with the ongoing cost-of-living crisis.
That is according to a new report published by real estate data provider ATTOM, which found that there were 32,938 properties in February with foreclosure filings, which includes default notices, scheduled auctions and bank repossessions. That marks an 8% increase from the prior year, although it is down 1% from the previous month.
“The annual uptick in U.S. foreclosure activity hints at shifting dynamics within the housing market,” said ATTOM CEO Rob Barber. “These trends could signify evolving financial landscapes for homeowners, prompting adjustments in market strategies and lending practices.”…
Housing affordability is the worst it has been in decades, thanks to a spike in home prices and mortgage rates. Combined, the two have helped to push the typical salary required nationwide for homeownership up to $106,500 — a stunning 61% increase from the $59,000 required just four years ago, according to Zillow.

Biden and Democrats are too busy pushing climate change to care about this problem.

Foreclosures soaring by 50% or more in several states.
This is the real cost of #Bidenomics. Ridiculous! The American people cannot afford four more years of this mess.https://t.co/fTXqLlVD4U
— Congresswoman Debbie Lesko (@RepDLesko) March 19, 2024

Bidenomics means you can't cover your mortgage. Foreclosures are going up while home affordability is at its worst. In my home state of South Carolina, foreclosures increased 51%. Joe Biden’s economic policies are failing America.https://t.co/nvl9DXxgZN

This is why it doesn’t matter when Biden or his media allies try to tell the American people that everything is going great.

People can see what is happening all around them.

Thoughts on this weld job?

Had a basic muzzle brake oinned/welded on a new upper. Used a new shop, was the most convenient based on location and timing. generally speaking, does this look how it should on this type of brake?

Sorry, not all pics are super clear.

Do you carry while at the gym?

Figure this would get out of hand so I’m posting in the pit.

Couple of guys have a disagreement at the LA Fitness in Edina.

Shooter leaves, and comes back strapped. Flashes gun in the gym, fires a round and leaves.

That said, do you carry at the gym? I can’t imagine many people do, nor can I imagine how the hell you would do it without going open carry.

Scope choices for DMR rifle

So I'm building an AR-10, got a few parts left, but almost done. Shooting 6.5 creedmoor, 22in barrel. This rifle will be used in PRS and field matches like snipers unknown, DMR matches, etc. I don't want to skimp on glass but of course I want to get a good deal where possible.

I don't want something that's more than I need. I haven't used much above 20x in most of my years shooting matches and since most don't go past 1200 yards I figured probably max out at 20x, maybe 25x but i feel the extra may not get used as much as I'd prefer. I was looking at the meopta optika6 3-18x50 since euro optic has a good deal, but I figured i'd look at other options in the under 1500 bracket. I know on EV I can get a steiner T6xi for that price range. Any others that ya'll would recommend? Obviously MRAD and christmas tree reticle is a given.

SOLD Nightforce ATACR 5-25x56 F1 Mil-XT

What can I say? It's an ATACR. Built like a tank.

Mil-XT reticle, throw lever installed, scope caps installed, and the windage beauty ring will be included.

I'll cover shipping & shipment insurance.

No trades. PayPal, Venmo, and Zelle will be accepted as payment methods. Friends and Family or the buyer must pay all fees for a 'Goods and Services' transaction.

The first "I'll take it" in this thread gets the item stated.

$2000

His neighbors said he was a model citizen….ATF seen hauling out a garbage can full of firearms.

SOLD German WWII MG 13 machine gun display gun/parts kit REDUCED!

$1900 shipped, non-gun, ships direct to you. This is a German WWII MG 13 display gun. It has been de-activated to ATF specs, with the chamber welded shut. Many usable parts to restore to working condition, follow the NFA rules. Included are 10 magazines with an around the neck ammo carrier. Folding bipod, folding stock, collapsible butt plate with leather pads, all in good shape. 10 magazines are included.

The MG 13 was introduced into service in 1930, where it served as the standard light machine gun until 1935.[1] It was superseded by the MG 34 and then later the MG 42. An unusual feature of the MG 13 was its double-crescent trigger, which provided select fire capability without the need for a fire mode selector switch. Pressing the upper segment of the trigger produced semi-automatic fire, while holding the lower segment of the trigger produced fully automatic fire. It also fired from a closed bolt. MG 13s were sold to Spain where they retained the designation of MG13 and to Portugal which used them into the late 1940s as the Metralhadora 7,92 mm m/1938 Dreyse.[1] Those MG 13's that were not sold but rather were placed into storage later saw use in World War II by second line German units. As it was easy to handle and reload, many second line troops could use the MG 13 with efficiency. On later examples a 75-round saddle drum was also used. It was equipped with a folding butt stock and a carrying handle.[2] It was used in the turret of the Panzer I tank.[3
