Who's switched to 2 stage triggers?

Everytime I go to the range with my build I find things I like, and things I think I could benefit from changing. I'm currently using a triggertech primary set pretty much as low as it will go. The more I shoot groups the more I would like something a bit lighter. I find myself pulling a lot of shots from it. I was looking at the triggertech diamond single stage originally. My problem I can see with a real light single stage is you have go be careful resting your finger on the trigger when your getting ready for the shot. This leads me to 2 stage. You can have most your weight in the first stage and have the 2nd stage very light. Seems like a safer and more consistent way to get a good pull. I've never really shot 2 stage triggers much. What have a lot of you guys come to prefer? Is the triggertech diamond 2 stage a good option? I'm mainly shooting groups off a bench and steel out at distance informally. No competitions or anything. Action is a bighorn origin.

Buttigieg: Biden Will Continue to Fight Deficit by Raising Taxes.

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Your World,” Transportation Secretary Pete Buttigieg said that there is more work to be done on deficit reduction, President Joe Biden will continue to work on reducing the deficit, and that’s why the President has put out a proposal to raise taxes.

After Buttigieg [relevant exchange begins around 2:20] said that Biden will “continue down the path of deficit reduction that he has achieved in his presidency,” host Neil Cavuto said, “We have more debt than we did when he assumed office. Debt has grown under this President. By the way, it’s grown under the last one, the before him, and the one before him. So, no one’s making real progress here.”

Buttigieg responded, “Right. Well, but again, more meaningful deficit reduction than we’ve seen in quite a while. Yeah, you’re right, more work to be done, which is why he put out — look, you’re never supposed to even use the t-word, tax, in an address. But he pointed out a way to do it that would not touch anybody making less than $400,000 a year, which is something that most Americans, if not most members of Congress, support.”

WHAT A FUCKING MORON!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Early NX8 Issues?

I am looking at buying an NX8 4-32x50 F1 Mil-XT over here. The seller states it has been back to NF for a service and everything is ok. Kind of begs the question of what was wrong with it. I have asked the geezer and am awaiting a response.

In the meantime I did some searching which turned up a couple of posts with problems but so what, that doesn't mean there is a general issue.

I have owned NF before (NXS) and at the time they had a reputation for being bombproof.

Any common issues with this scope??

We got an Enduro .

So my 16 yr old asks for a cheap dirt bike at Christmas . Says he needs some fly time as he plans on buying a bike midsummer . I tell him I've been looking at Super Motors .
How bout a compromise ? Honda XR150L . Street legal and can pull some trail . Convo goes back and forth and we agree . Picked it up last night .
So first time on a cycle in 30+ yrs and in rush hour traffic . 2 A Holes pull out right on top of me and no problem . Everything came back to me . The first turn I pulled gave me a wet spot .
It's light on torque and power as it's a 150 and it's addicting .
Boy got his permit today . We got a lot of work to do . He must have stalled it twenty times trying to pull out in first .
Might have him pull out in 2nd . Able to feed a lot of throttle without pulling front end up .
Anyway we got a bike .
Depending on money next year will either be a used Ducati 698 Hyper Motard or a Suzuki DRZ 400 SM .

Netanyahu needs to "Come to Jesus."

Priceless...

As the Potato's Drug Cocktail is clearly wearing off... he tells folks that Bibi needs to "Come to Jesus."

Yet all the Jewish folk keep voting Democrat... Even though the now-all-far-left Democrats hate them and want to destroy Israel.

Seriously bent on their own destruction.

6br or 6.5 creedmoor?

Hey guys, I’m looking for help on choosing my next barrel. I currently shoot a .223 with 77gr bullets going ~ 2850 out of an origin action. Iv narrowed it down to either a 6br or a 6.5 creedmoor. My .223 barrel still has plenty of life on it, Iv just got the itch. Here’s my logic and list of pros/cons for each.

6br pro’s

Still kind of cheep to shoot once up and running

low powder consumption, and I have similar powders on hand for the .223 I currently have

Stupid accurate with minimal load development

Low recoil

Excellent brass life

6br cons

Possible feeding issues

No off the shelf ammo, but that’s kind of a null point bc I’ll reload for either

Not much performance gained over the .223 , about 30 grain heavier bullet going about the same speed.

Not much more range potential than my current set up

Still may be hard to spot misses at distance

6.5 creedmoor pros

Components are prevalent and everywhere

Great bc bullets

More knock down power in a hunting scenario

Extended range by a long shot (pun intended) to my current set up

Can see splash better on misses

Everyone has one

6.5 creedmoor cons

More expensive to shoot

More recoil

Can be harder to develop a load vs 6br

I’d like to shoot atleast 1 PRS match a year, and 1 f class match a year, both strictly for fun and for the ability to shoot longer ranges, as my ranges aren’t long. I know, I could do this with my current set up, and that’s what I’ll do in the mean time. If I had closer access to a long range I probably wouldnt go shoot matches at all. My ranges are 100 and 150 yards. There’s a range 30 min away that is 700 yards, but it’s hard to get into and I’m not a member. There’s another range 2.5 hours away that’s 1000 yards that I might join, but realistically I’ll go there maby twice a year. At my hunting camp, 5 hours away, we have 280 yards, and there’s a range near by to that that goes out to a mile, again that would be a once or twice a year thing. I’ll be shooting suppressed, and whichever I choose now, I’ll likely get the other one in 2 or 3 years anyway. I live in the north east, so nothing is wide open ranges up here like out west.
So, what do you think?

Rifle Scopes S&B Klassik, VX5 or SHV 3-10?

Just picked up this late '70s BDL 7 Mag for a sweet deal and I'm looking to add a trustworthy scope.

20240306_094225.jpg

I'm going to use it as a dedicated elk/nilgai/western rifle as well a loaner for deer here in TX. Most of my shots are sub 300, but I'd like to be able to dial or hold for 650/700 if possible. Illumination would be neat, but not a deal breaker.

Torn between 3/4 scopes, and I've only had experience with one. Trying to see if there is an obvious choice here, or maybe I'm reading too far into it and getting paralysis by analysis.

SHV 3-10x42 MOAR w/PA - have this today on a .223. Might not fit on a long action easily. Reticle leaves some to be desired sometimes.

S&B Klassik 3-12x42 - Probably what I want the most, would have to buy used and I'd want the mil based reticle. Seems like it checks the boxes.

S&B Klassik 2.5-10x56 - Same deal as above, not sure if I'd miss the extra 2x or hate the bigger bell compared to the 3-12.

VX5 3-15 - Seem like a good option with 3x or 5x extra and some solid features. But the internet tells me to hate this one.

Which would you choose and why?
