SOLD *WTS* ZCO 840 MPCT1X 10 mil NLE

Looking to sell my ZCO 840 MPCT1X 10 Mil NLE. Has the normal wear and tear on it as it has been shot at PRS matches. Still works perfect. I had a concern about zero shift once and sent it in to ZCO and it came back with a clean bill of health and was used when I got 9th place at Twisted Barrel Scorcher. This thing has sat in an Area 419 mount with proper torque its whole life.

** Well I have enough people reaching out asking me why in the world would I sell a ZCO, figured I would answer it here. Honestly there isn't a good reason. I also have a K540i and shooting them side by side they are just so comparable. I believe the reticle is better in the ZCO but slightly better FOV, parallax adjustment and ever so slight image quality has me wanting to keep the K540 and sell the ZCO.

Asking $3800 as that seems appropriate with the current availability. No trades.

**SOLD**

Calling For Volunteers: Come Test Out New Site Updates We Have Planned!

We have a few new site updates planned and would like your feedback and help testing them! We’re going to keep the updates under wraps for now, but we’ll be announcing them soon after we get your input!

We’re currently looking for 20 volunteers to help test out these updates, if you’re interested comment below and I’ll email you access information. Thanks in advance!

Need to mill my Origin action, looking for advice

I have an early sn Origin short action I’m trying to stuff a 300 wsm in. It works, but the feed ramps slightly over hang the box on my Hawkins magazine, causing the bullet tips of the 2nd and 3rd round to hang up under the lip. I sent the pictures to Ray at Zermatt and he recommended machining the feed ramp to be behind the box just a little. He knew of others who had done this and it fixed their feeding issues.

I have a drill press and could pick up a x-y vise. I don’t need to take much off and I would proceed slowly. Could I set it up to basically run the ramp into the side of the bit and shave off a little, or is that a bad idea? Should I set it up with the action in the correct spot and try to lover the bit and count the radius? Also, what end mill bit would you use? I suppose I could use a sanding drum for a cutter and go slow that way too. My only other option is a Dremel and I’m not doing that to my Origin.

Thanks!

What’s the cause?

BLUF: CDG with PVA 25x47 having failure to fire 7-12% of the time.

Potential causes I can think of:
1. over pressure on load causing black primer strikes (see photo) melting primer material on to firing pin.

2. Pivoting feature on CDG bolt? Haven’t tried non pivoting, running a TT Special at 1lb 2 oz. I’m only aware that running a light trigger (TT Diamond etc) can cause issues but I don’t know what type.

3. Firing pin assembly issue? This failure to fire isn’t consistent. It is almost always after I get a pierced primer or black primer strike (see photo) if I’m calling it the wrong thing. I can’t see any issues on the surface of the firing pin but maybe.

Background:
90-92 degrees out but also had this issue when it was approximately 80 out.

Load: Berger 135 long range hybrid.
Shooters world precision at 37.4 gr with both cci 41 and 400s.
H4350 at 40.4 gr.

I have been above both of those load numbers by about .4-.5 and felt a little tougher bolt lift and backed it down. Even at the higher chargers this issue wasn’t consistent.

Any ideas as to the root? I appreciate it. Going to reach out to ARC as well

The photo with the 2 metal dots in front of the piece of brass is from when a black primer strike happened and it came out with the firing pin or got stuck in the flash hole of the bolt head.

The photo of the 2 pieces of brass is the metal not coming completely off of the primer with the firing pin.

This load was consistent with an SD of 4.8 for SW and 6.2 for H4350. I think that rules out a random higher charge causing it.

The stupidity in this thread beats the stupidity in the banana thread

Nearly 2.5 MILLION people have signed a petition supporting the ftard illegal alien responsible for the deaths of 3 people when he tried an illegal u-turn on a highway.

I watched the in-cab camera of this guy as he was trying this idiot u-turn. His expression does not change one bit as he realizes that something has just hit his trailer.

Unbelievable

USO MST-100 Reticle Broken

Anyone ever seen the reticle break on an USO MST-100?

I've sent an email, but since it's Sunday I know I probably won't hear back for a few days. Just curious if anyone has any firsthand experience and whether they can/will fix it?

Pic attached - it broke right below the bottom mil-dot on the lower vertical crosshair. Mounted to M40A1, 330 rounds through it, no abuse.

Anyone shorten an AW mag?

I have a new hunting/field rifle I'm putting together. Defiance classic aw cut action, 2x 20" barrels in 6cm and 65cm. Likely using the spare mdt crbn stock. Gonna use a mdt adjustable latch dbm. I'm gonna machine all the excess aluminum that sits below the stock line to clean it up for true flush fit.

I want to use AW mags, so has anyone ever shortened an AW mag to say 5 or 6rd capacity, and re-tig welded the base plate back on?
