I'll have a triple scoop of irony with some irony on top, served in an irony cone!!!

The longer you read, the funnier it gets... rapper Young Scooter? Not getting any older? On his birthday? Scooting from police? When he jumps a fence, breaks his leg (while scooting) and dies suddenly?

Betting that if they'd opened the door and turned the stereo down... he'd be alive today!!!

Always thought he did a great version of "At the Hop!"

And if he had learned to hop... he'd also be alive today!

I'll have my irony "To go." Like, out the back door. Doing an impression of Jesse Owens! Who, for the record, was a runner though won gold in the Long Jump. See, if Little had been a pole vaulter or a hurdler... he'd also be alive today.

Like I said... it's just gets funnier...

Neck Tension Inconsistencies on Lapua 6.5CM Brass

I cant for the life of me figure out why I have so much inconsistency in neck tension with this brass. This is 2 times fired brass in the same chamber (howa), annealead with an AMP, then sized through a forster full length sizer with 262 ball. All necks brushed with graphite and bodies lubed with die wax before sizing. I see the inconsistency with my mandrel checker, and in the arm of the arbor press while seating. What is changing so much that I cant see, that is affecting this neck tension?

How are things at MPA?

I ordered a Vanquish the first week of Feb 2025. In the past, I received the build sheet within a couple of weeks of placing the order. For this order - nothing yet. I asked about the build sheet in Late Feb, and was told:
"You will receive it by the end of the week at the latest. (( OP:End of the week would have been Feb))
We have had some key members out sick this month and are a bit behind. Your order date will stay the same so this has not delayed the process time I promise".
Nothing yet. I'm still inclined to believe the "Your order date will stay the same". Just wondering. Every now and then one will pop up for sale. I'm wondering if I should just cancel the order, buy used. At the end of the day, I'm not sweating either way. Just curious.

Is the March FX 4.5-28x52 my new ZCO?

Of course this is a somewhat rhetorical question, but there is an ounce of query in there. You see, I just picked up a new March FX 4.5-28x52 on sale from Eurooptic. If you have ever looked into this brand you will note that it is generally very expensive, and the premium is interesting considering most Japanese scopes, OEM, or otherwise are in general more affordable when compared to a ZCO, Tangent, or SnB. However from all I can tell this model is absolutely on par with any one of those brands, and it's understandable now why it commands a premium. Now, I have not had time yet to take it out to distance and see how it tracks but I can tell you that from every thing I can see it compares very well against a ZCO or an SNB, and even my old TT and Premier. This honestly feels like the most refined optic I have ever owned, and I have owned about every top tier brand besides a ZCO, now I feel I don't need a ZCO frankly. With the 4.5-28x52 the glass is stunning in clarity, pop, color, and resolution. The wide angle eyepiece offers a very wide field of view, more so than any of my other tactical scopes. Optically it's very impressive considering it's compact size, the glass is very reminiscent of a PM2 in color temperature. At the upper range the eyebox seems a little tight but otherwise 25x and lower it's fine. The turrets are very audible and positive, the zero stop is an eloquent design and easy to set. All of the controls are smooth and offer excellent feedback and lockup. The engravings even look premium and perfect. Though I will not take it out to distance until next week the reticle is excellent, it's not to thick, nor to thin at any mag, it's laser sharp, and all the markings are exactly where they should be, as a matter of fact the reticle was designed by our resident Dark Lord Of Optics, and i'll say great job Mr. Koshkin! Though March has been around for a while it's nice to see them coming out with something so premium. I think the other top tier European brands need a good Japanese competitor. I truly appreciate Japanese excellence, refinement, and attention to detail and the March FX 4.5-28x52 is a great example of Japanese perfectionism, in fact I am so impressed I may have to pick up another March should the need arise.

After I take this the distance I will report further on the scopes performance.

If you want a further review and way more detail on this optic I highly recommend Glassaholics extensive review and comparo against the Canada's main battleship the Tangent Theta.

Strongest bore cleaner available

Hello everybody just want peoples opinion on my issue. So was cleaning my tikka after shooting 40 rounds for the first time. I used wipe out and soaked and also g96 and also clp 2000 foam. Many many patches and also bronze bore brush with bronze core. It made the whole barrel spotless and immaculate. However i noticed there is a circle of crud where bullets comes out the neck of case the carbon ring I believe see pic. I tried scrubbing so much other than spinning the brush on a drill which I do for my cheap rimfire. What chemicals are there that is strong enough to remove this ring.

Short Carbon Fiber Barrels

Looking at 16"-16.5" Carbon Fiber Barrel for Creedmoor (6 or 6.5). Had Proof CF before - 22"-24" length. Looking at Bartlein vs Proof.
Seems Bartlein offers the 400 Mod BB and the Gain Twist Option as well as ability to specify profile. Not sure those are strong advantages over Proof? Seems Proof has seen some military use. Any experience in the real world of how they perform? Any pros/cons? Thank you.

Well they violated his rights

And make up a law and an ordinance to stop him from engaging in constitutionally protected activities/ speech. And issue an illegal trespassing order and surrounding him with goons and threatening violence and arrest him- BUT months later they did mail him an apology so ALL IS GOOD!

It must be easy to enforce the law when you can just make them up on the spot .

Thats just awful!

Now listen to the teacher and go back to your own country, you hairy POS. And try not to stab anybody on the way out.

Chasing accuracy with proof barrel.

I just put together a new gun chambered in 6.5 creedmoor with some pretty decent parts. I’ll post a few pictures.

5C350EFD-9C47-4ADB-8669-ADEAC4406DE7.jpeg

This is my first gun on a custom action and I cannot get it to shoot ANY factory ammo. I know this isn’t a huge list of ammo but some of it is high quality and I’d expect it to shoot. All of this is shooting 1 moa at best with most of it over 1 moa. I tried some hand loads I had from an older 6.5 and they also shot poorly but my SD was a 3.8 so maybe there’s hope with the hand loads.

Factory ammo I’ve tried
140 grain Berger hybrid target
140 grain eld match
140 grain Serria gold metal match
140 grain federal fusions
125 grain Winchester xp

Things I’ve checked.
-Action screw torque 65 front 45 back per manners.
-Scope ring, base 55 in lbs per ARC
-Rail 25 in lbs
-Head space is good with the go and no go gauges I have checked this multiple times.
-I’ve lightened the trigger to 3oz to try to rule out any shooter error.

Am I the best shooter, absolutely not but I’ve shot plenty of .3-.5” groups in my time. I got frustrated yesterday and cleaned the barrel and put the gun up and grabbed another gun of mine that I know shoots and shot a .33” group at 100. I’m going to work up some hand loads today with h4350, lapua brass, Cci 200s and Berger 140 grain hybrid targets and Hornady ELDMS. It’s kind of disappointing though as I had a Ruger American that will out shoot this gun 10/10 times with factory ammo.

This isn’t a bashing post by any means I’m looking for some solid advice as I had high hopes for this barrel.
