Hello, I have a new rifle (ARC CDG w/26" heavy barrel in 6BR) and I have fired virgin Lapua brass 1x. I have a Redding Instant Comparator and I'm getting readings of 0 to +.004 on the brass compared to the provided SAAMI headspace gauge. Anything above +.003 will not allow bolt to be closed. My understanding is new brass may need more that 1 firing to fully fire-form to the chamber so my plan is to neck size for the up to +.003 brass and shoulder bump the +.004 brass. I will full length size after the 2nd firing. As far as setting up my FL size die in advance, can I use a +.002 piece of brass of 1x fired brass that currently chambers, zero it on the comparator and then size so I get the -.001-002 bump on the future 2x fired brass? Thanks.

So I'm finishing an AR-10 build in 308. I'm running a 20" barrel and trying to pick out an optic. I think I've pretty much narrowed it down to these. Though I'm always open for suggestions. My target budget is $1000 -$1200 with my military discount.

A friend borrowed a PVS7 from another friend snd somehow it made it into the laundry. He says it still powers on but is blurry. (I told him to remove the batteries asap).

He needs this repaired or worst case replaced before returning them and I told him I’d ask you guys where he should send them.

Recently while viewing Youtube videos on long range shooting, I have been surprised by the number or references made to the use of MOA versus MIL. Then when exploring Fierce Firearms, I learned they typically mount MOA scopes as that is what the largest segment of their customers desire. So I was just curious if I am just imagining this reversal in optic trends or if in fact MOA is making a comeback?

So there has to be more to the story then what's told in the article. Otherwise just about anyone who has ever joked or posted a meme is getting turned in. We all already know, but it's interesting how they say the guy was turned in by people who work for a non-profit monitoring these forums.

Also 5k rounds is weak. My kids would shoot that in a couple weeks if I let them.

I'm sure there have been a lot of you with interaction with MDT, how has the customer service been? Fairly sure of their product but the customer service is very lacking in my recent experience. I ordered during their Black Friday sale so I get possible shipping delays (although you'd think that would be planned for). Also I now see they are moving to Idaho. Good job...getting out of WA, but probably not a good time to delay all your Black Friday orders that are already delayed...but i digress. Just curious what everyone else's experience has been when ordering from MDT, quality customer service or lacking?

So I have looking at building my first long range gun. I have been lurking in here for the past couple months. I have been searching threads and watching videos. My plan is to do a 6.5 CR and leaning towards the Seekins Hit. I live in MN so not many long range spots. Sounds like there is one or 2 that go out to a 1000yrds but not close and have to be members. Most likely will be shooting 200 to 600 yrds for the majority of the time. Most likely won't be doing comp and won't be hunting. I just enjoy shooting and have always wanted to learn how to shoot long range.

So I have been looking at the Mark 5 and the Vortex Razor 3. I was originally wanting the 35x but now not sure I need it. So the 25x might be enough. I was also looking at NF but was trying to keep under 3k and was really hoping to be spend around 2.5k.

I am also debating if I need or want the illumination, it adds to the price if go with the mark 5. I want to go MIL, but a little confused on what style tree I want. The mark5 has many different variations. I was looking at the H59, not sure if that is a good route to go or not. If I went the Vortex route it seems like there isn't as many options but the one I see looks good.

So what's next.... burning books!?
