Laughing, A nato country accuses another nato country

of providing weapons & training to the PKK/YPG to kill their troops. Seems they used a proven tactic shown in a movie, based on a true event.

"Erdogan convenes an emergency government security council after the massacre at a Turkish military base in northern Iraq and the death of nine soldiers. Their number is expected to increase in the next few hours as there are several seriously injured.

According to information, PKK/YPG forces infiltrated a Turkish military base in northern Iraq, killing 9 Turkish soldiers.

The Turkish base was in the zone of the Turkish military operation Operation Claw-Lock, an operation aimed at neutralizing members of the PKK.

RT Erdogan and the leadership of the Army and secret services seem to be particularly worried. Perhaps it is not a simple cruise operation but something "bigger" with the coordination of a foreign power....

The Turks accuse the US of training and providing equipment and weapons to the PKK".

‘Data-driven’ social distancing lie implodes—what next?

By Jack Hellner

Egotistical Anthony Fauci, who said anyone who didn’t believe what he said didn’t believe in science, now admits that the six-foot social distancing edicts were not based on science. They were just pulled out of thin air. How many people still believe this intentional lie?
How many businesses were closed because of these made-up rules? Churches and schools were closed also. Commercial real estate owners were destroyed because of remote work. Movies and Broadway were shut down. Sporting events and concerts were canceled. The damages are immeasurable, but Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Meta and other corporations got very rich because of these rules, and these made-up rules massively transferred the wealth from small business to the uber wealthy.
How many old people died alone because people were scared to get close to them?
How many children were permanently harmed because of these rules? How many children and others became alcoholics, drug abusers, or committed suicide because Fauci and others were consumed with power? Anyone who questioned Fauci and the government rules were called anti-science. The media and others accused those questioning of being “grandma killers.”
Most of what we were told about COVID was not based on science, but was meant to get people to capitulate to dictatorial government rules.
Here is a sample:
In March 2020, people were told (without scientific data), that COVID would easily spread on surfaces. In May 2020, the regime then admitted that wasn’t the case. How many people still believe it does because of the original made-up lie? How much money was wasted by businesses and others based on this lie? From CBS News:
The Centers for Disease Control updated its guidance earlier this month to emphasize the coronavirus does not spread easily on surfaces.
In March 2020, the CDC suddenly announced it would be changing the way they would count deaths. Instead of only counting deaths confirmed to be caused by COVID, they decided to count deaths related to COVID or assumed to be related to COVID. This change was not based on science. Clearly, this was made to inflate the death numbers so the public would be more likely to capitulate.
How many people actually died from COVID, or from heart disease, cancer, strokes, obesity, diabetes, Alzheimer’s, etc.? We will never have an accurate answer because the government intentionally manipulated the numbers. Not having factual numbers greatly harms research.
Businesses were told, without scientific data, to put up plexiglass as if a virus were incapable of getting around a small plastic wall. How much crude oil and money was wasted to put up worthless barriers? From Bloomberg:
Just one hitch: To this day, not a single study has shown that the clear plastic barriers actually control the virus, according to Harvard’s Joseph Allen, an indoor-air researcher who calls the plexiglass shields ‘hygiene theater.’
When Trump and others wanted the Wuhan lab investigated as a source of the virus, Fauci, the media, and others colluded to block an investigation by intentionally lying that it was “a disproven conspiracy.” Why were so many interested in covering up for China? How many people died from COVID or some other virus because timely investigations were blocked?
How much money did Pfizer and Moderna make because people were told the lie that if you got the shot and the boosters that you could not spread or contract the virus?
Later in 2020, the CDC suddenly changed the social distancing requirement to three feet; that is also a made up number that had no data to support it.
How much money has been spent on masks when there is no scientific data that the general public wearing the masks makes any significant difference. How much have our oceans been polluted by masks? See below:
Given an annual production figure of 52 billion disposable masks and a loss rate of 3% (the percentage of masks that escape water management systems), the team concluded that nearly 1.6 billion face masks wound up in our oceans in 2020. This amounts to approximately 5,500 tons of plastic pollution.
Most of the media should also be sued for their participation in spreading the lies, for failing to properly research or ask questions, and in silencing anyone who disagreed with the dictatorial edicts based on the lies.
Anyone who believes that a government and media who intentionally spread so many lies on COVID would not also be willing to spread lies to get the public to capitulate to dictatorial edicts on the radical green agenda should check to see if their brain has been extracted from their head. There is not one piece of scientific data that directly links oil, coal, natural gas, gas-powered cars, CO2 content, or anything else the green pushers say cause warming, to temperatures. Temperature fluctuates cyclically and naturally as it always has.
The public should question everything they are told. There are a lot of people consumed with power and greed who haven’t cared about the truth for a long time. Also, do not trust the supposed fact-checkers. Almost all of them are willing to cover up the lies because they are promoting the same anti-freedom agenda.

The other side of the broken windows theory

By Bob Weir

When Rudy Giuliani became Mayor of NYC three decades ago, he and his police commissioner, William Bratton, applied the criminological theory known as “broken windows.” It states that the signs of disorder in a neighborhood, like broken windows, encourage petty crimes and lead to more serious crimes. In other words, when minor crimes are tolerated, criminals will soon be emboldened to commit serious crimes.

Some argue that Giuliani went too far by supporting cops, who felt they could do their job of fighting crime without being penalized every time they made a move. However, no one can change the fact that crime took a nosedive during their tenure. Sadly, but as expected, Giuliani’s administration was criticized as racist because more blacks were arrested than whites. The fact that most crimes were committed by blacks didn’t have any traction with left-wing orthodoxy.
Looking back at that era, it’s almost inconceivable to imagine how we became a lawless society in only a generation. During that short span of time, broken windows has morphed from kids throwing rocks to mobs of thugs ransacking stores and carrying out huge amounts of merchandise with no fear of confrontation or arrest. Hence, extrapolating on the broken windows theory, if we’ve come to a time in which felonies are tolerated, one can only imagine how much more emboldened criminals will become in the near future. It’s already unsafe to walk the streets in most urban areas. How long before we experience similar fears in the rural and suburban areas? We either get tough on crime in the cities or prepare for an invasion of violent gangs in our once safe and cozy retreats in those areas only a few miles away.
Moreover, with millions of illegals swarming across the border during the last three years, we can expect huge increases in crime as people, mostly young men from countries all over the world, infiltrate towns and cities throughout the nation. We have yet to experience the full impact of what the Biden administration has subjected us to. No country can deal with open borders for very long without ultimately succumbing to the onslaught of humanity flooding the landscape like a tidal wave. As this ocean of aliens saturates the terrain, demanding rights, how many Americans will have the courage to fight back against an invasion that has been sanctioned by the president and his left-wing horde of nihilists?

Texas, for example, has been in the crosshairs of the left for decades. The Lone Star State is viewed by America-haters as a target that must be destroyed in order to set an example to other states with the audacity to pursue a patriotic agenda. What better way to accomplish their goal than to use the 1,241-mile border with Mexico as the murder weapon? The Texas border with Mexico is about twice as long as the borders of the other three states (California, Arizona, and New Mexico) combined. Although struggling mightily against the human cavalcade, Texas has been repeatedly thwarted by an administration that has declared war on the largest red state.

Meanwhile, Biden begins his campaign for re-election by regurgitating the events of January 6, 2021, and calling Donald Trump, and “MAGA Republicans,” a threat to democracy. During a saner time in our history, a president wanting a second term would be outlining all the accomplishments of his time in office, not trashing those who voted against him last time. Of course, anyone with a pulse knows that Biden has nothing to brag about. He’s not going to say that when Trump was in office, we were not involved in a war in Europe, another one in the Middle East, and a third one on the horizon as China moves toward an invasion of Taiwan. Furthermore, he’s not likely to mention that consumer prices have risen about 25% since he took office, or that we no longer have a southern border. I haven’t even mentioned the rampant corruption of the Biden crime family.
How insane, or arrogant, is it for a president to even contemplate re-election under those circumstances? It seems to me that the struggle between good and evil is on the ballot in November. My greatest fear is that evil has become so embedded in the fabric of our government that we the people no longer have a voice in anything they want to do to us. Crime is a major example because it directly impacts our daily life. The number-one job of government is the protection of its people. It couldn’t be more obvious that our government has failed miserably.

People will never feel safe, or be safe, until the police are allowed to do the job they were trained to do, without being subjected to every new philosophical concept conceived in the minds of those who know nothing about the job. How about ending the political platitudes and concentrating on basic police work, such as increased patrols in high-crime areas and the recognition and encouragement of good police work by the most diligent officers? Every superior officer knows, or should know, which subordinates are doing a good job in his sector of patrol. Those who are merely going in each day for a paycheck should be supervised more closely. But, in all fairness, that can happen only if cops know they won’t be facing a political firing squad each time they attempt to enforce the law.

Can someone explain this?

Took my Anschutz 1712AV to the indoor range today, was having some fun shooting some different ammo at printed paper targets; Eley Club & Team, Norma TAC-22 and some SK Pistol Match. The Pistol Match had me really thinking this rifle really doesn't like that ammo. Since I had another 10 rounds of that box left over after running through all of the targets on the sheet I decided to shoot the bottom two rows again (red rectangle around those rows) and see how much of a shotgun pattern it would print. Well, this just doesn't make any sense, it shot nearly the same holes for 8 of those ten rounds. I only have a 3-9x33 scope on it, so shooting with it on 9x power and holding dead center best I could at that magnification.

Could it be some weird optical illusion or scope image aberration causing it to look centered on the target but not actually centered? Pictures aren't in chronological order, I shot each box of ammo in this order: Club, Team, SKPM, and Tac-22.
SKPM-WTF.jpg

It seems to like Eley Team pretty well:
TeamTacks.jpg

Club did pretty good, I adjusted the scope windage after the first two rows. Club was the first ammo I shot today and never adjusted the scope again.
ClubTacks.jpg

Norma TAC-22 wasn't too consistent.

The rifle, posed for picture before any shooting, didn't actually put any CCI-SV through it today:

Am I being an idiot - Why am I getting pressure signs here?

The rifle is a 22” Bartlein 6.5cm barrel chambered by bugholes with a terminus Zeus qc. About 160 rounds on the barrel so far, mostly not suppressed.

Same issue with two different loads
- 143gr eldx with 40gr h4350 with br2 and COAL of 2.864”
- 140gr eldm with 39gr h4350 with br2 and COAL of 2.853

Both in virgin Lapua brass prepped by trimming slightly to 1.906-1.908, 21st century expander mandrel at .262, and champher/debur.

Rifle initially shot great, multiple groups around .2 moa. I noticed heavy bolt lift intermittently, primarily shooting the 39.0 h4350 and eldm combo listed above, but didn’t know what to make of it and it kept shooting well. I scoped it and noticed what I thought was carbon ring initially, cleaned it out, and the rifle kept shooting well. Only had about 30 rounds through it after a good cleaning and scope to make sure the ring was gone, when I had very heavy lift shooting 14 rounds of the 40.0gr eldx load above, which seemed to be getting worse the longer I shot.

I scoped it again after I got home and included pictures of that in this post. It looks like a lot of carbon ring to me, which I don’t understand for only about 30 rounds of 6.5cm.

My chronograph died and I’m waiting on a Garmin to arrive, but initially had Chronographed the eldm load at 2520fps.

I tried decreasing my powder charge, and I am still seeing the same pressure signs of heavy bolt lift and ejector marks.

Am I trimming my brass too short and seating the bullets too long, resulting in premature issues with carbon ring? It doesn’t feel like I’m jamming the bullet into the lands when I close the bolt. Can’t figure out what’s going on, but I thought I was seating 20 and 40 thousandths off the lands based on my initial measurements. I’m assuming the problem is me and something I’m doing, but since I’m using brand new brass and not doing much to it, I don’t know what could be going on. Appreciate the help.

Ar's that won't function

I have a pair of AR's with 18 inch barrels and rifle length gas systems that won't run.
1st gun: 18" White Oak 1-8 rifle length with a .100 port. A5 buffer system running a sprinco green and an H1 buffer. Won't run anything but American Eagle 55 grain. Everything else is short stroking.

2nd gun: BA 18" 1-8 rifle length with a .094 port. Carbine length buffer system with a sprinco Yellow and a standard 3.0 oz buffer. Same situation
It is cold here at about 20 degrees. I'm loading Hornady 75 gr BTHP with 24.0 grains of TAC
hoping the hive mind can produce some suggestions before I launch one of these POS' off a cliff.

Can’t zero my new scope. Can it be broken or am I missing something ?

Hey all. I recently swapped my vortex crossfire 3-9 off my savage axis 308 and put on an arken epl4 6-24x50. Prior to this, I had no issue with my 3-9 and could take it out to 500 yards consistently. Since putting the new scope on I cannot get it to zero in any capacity. I have tried two different laser bore sights and ranged it at 25 yards, 50 yards, and 100 yards all while taking shots after each and they weren’t even on paper.

it is shooting about 3 mil’s to the right and I’m out of windage on the turrets. It’s also shooting high and I’m almost out of elevation.

Any idea of what I can do or should I just return the scope? I’ve wasted about 50 rounds so far

Creative Conservatives

OK, serious question time. I ask in "good faith," and I trust all of you will resist the urge to react to that "snark-o-meter." :ROFLMAO:

One of the chief complaints I get from liberals about "conservatives" (aside from us all being "gun toting dumb asses that just want to hunt all the time," etc.), is that there aren't very many "creative" conservatives. And by "creative," I mean people who excel in the "Arts," "Drama," "music" (other than country/western), intellectual pursuits like Science, Economics (well, we do have Thomas Sowell), Medicine (but we do have Ben Carson), Legal/Law (where we have Clarence Thomas), etc. etc. I would add others I've come to know and admire, but I don't know if they're actually liberal or conservative.

I want to prove the libtards wrong! I want to show them that there just as many (if not more) creative conservatives out there. For example, in re: the "Arts," (painting/design), we have Jack Phillips of "Masterpeice Bakery." He actually does some fantastic cake designs. Or, perhaps, all of the actors in Hollywood that have to stay "closeted" lest they get blacklisted because of the libs that control Hollywood. And, in re: Heavy Rock Music we have "Uncle Ted", of course. The libs seem to believe that "liberalism" is better because it fosters more "creative freedom." I'm not down with that at all. I think we are just as creative. We can be just as academically intelligent, as artistic etc. etc. as those who call themselves liberals and think that anyone that isn't one of them is dumb, racist, etc. etc. .

I recall watching a college Football "halftime" show that was broadcast on TV. It was the Univ. of Michigan vs. Brown Univ. and featured the Marching bands of both schools. The Univ. of Michigan band took the show totally seriously as I know they would, having gone to one of their competitor schools in the Big 10 and witnessing both the band and the football team trounce ours). They did 3-4 solid numbers with precise formations, etc. etc. as any school that takes Marching bands seriously would (as did my school). The "Brown" marching band, realizing that they were just simply "outnumbered and outclassed," decided to take the "creative" approach and make a humerous "farce" out of the event (i.e. not even playing anything serious, but what would look "creative" to a liberal). The Brown "narrator" saying things like, "Watch while the parents of Brown students go "baaaroque" (i.e "broke" due to the tuition costs being the double entendre). Even the TV commentator had to remark as to the reaction by the Michigan band members and their utter disgust. Rule #1, you do not "dis" a Big 10 marching band like that. You just don't. But, I guess it was their (Brown's band) attempt at being "creative." It failed, miserably.

Anyway, I want to put together a list of "creative conservatives." People who are just as creative artistically, intellectually, etc. etc. but are also "conservatives." I mean, the only real differences between libs and conservatives is our beliefs on the level of govt. in our lives, fiscal policies, the degree of religion in our lives and our senses of "right vs. wrong." Conservatives seem to want to "play by the rules" more often, and Liberals seem to think it OK to break the rules if it gives them an advantage. Other than that, we could be just the same, intelelctually, creatively, artiistically, etc.

Who, then, are some of your favorite "Creative conservatives?"

Signage on Stores

You go to some banks in Texas and you will see two signs on the window (or graphics.) Usually Texas Penal Code (ironically) 30.06 for no concealed carry of a handgun and 30.07 for no open carry.

One convenience store I have been to has only the 30.07 sign.

Go to grocery stores and liquor stores and you will see a sign that says that carrying an "unlicensed" handgun is prohibited.

First off, the gun does not have a license. You fill out the 4473 at transfer. The person carrying it, such as myself, will have an LTC (License To Carry.) I got mine before Texas approved the permitless "Constitutional" carry.

I am not arguing against a place having rules. My LTC instructor was clear on that. You could be helping a friend set up for a party in the evening and be wearing your gun. He may decide that later, at the party, no one can carry because there will be drinking. His property, his rules.

A business can also post notices of not being allowed to carry. In fact, the 30.06 and 30.07 signs are clear enough.

However, with consitutional carry, the 2nd Amendment is your license, so, you are always licensed. So, why bother having that signage? Especially now that the constitutional carry is in place?

I keep my LTC. It proves I had an extensive background check, so, I don't have to wait on that, just wait on checking the 4473 for any errors.

I would not want to be a test case. And my gun is usually concealed, sort of. During the summer, I wear a large angler shirt over it and a lot of times, people don't know that I am carrying.

Cone drilling for 338 Lapua and 308

I’m thinking of buying a suppressor and wanted to get the cones drilled out for 338 lapua and 308 so I can move it to multiple rifles.
338 diameter is .339, 308 is 308 of course
what should I have the cones drilled to for the 338 and would it work for the 308 as well ?
or should I have 2 sets of cones one for each caliber?

thanks

What is the weather like in your AO today?

I'm guessing Montana/Colorado is probably the coldest in the CONUS, maybe the midwest?.

In Eastern WA it was -5 when I got up, with a 25-35 mph wind. This is the first real cold weather we've had... but appears that it is going to only last for a few days.

Maybe I'll find a hungry coyote when the wind dies. Stay Warm !

Ammo company expands

I just saw this, and I'm not sure it's been talked about prior. If so, I missed it.

Anyway, I've never heard of this ammo company.
