Some to think about ....

Hey All,

good stuff, no ass chewing... :)

So, changes are coming this month, and we are "rearranging" the site around for lack of a better word. We want to put an emphasis on Hide TV and the content that will start to come from there.

If you look at Hide TV, we are adding "Channels", right now we have RifleKraft, and CR2 Shooting Solutions up there who will add content, lessons, videos, to the site. They will participate in a revenue sharing model we set up. They post content, some of it paid content you can buy, and we give them the majority of the money earned. We take some processing fees and a small % to keep the lights on.

Now we are getting ready to expand that program to open it up any content maker that has a message to they want to get out. We are gonna use our traffic to help jump start your business or channel.

We put a big focus on the the new Hide TV Platform, and my web team is fully on board with helping grow and promote all the content we creating. So they are giving us the tools, and lighting the path for us, we just have to step up and perform.

It's not 100% ready yet, but we want to start talking to people who want to have a Channel. The only cost is included in the Revenue sharing, there are no upfront fees or anything silly. Your content, out to the members, bring in new subscribers to my site, we'll split it.

Look at social media, we are shadow banned, shut down, and prevented from growing. They clip our wings before we ever get started and if you manage to fly they block the sun so nobody sees you fly. We want to be a safe haven for Content Creators in our community.

Build it an they will come, now stand on my shoulders and show the world what you have... it's coming so think about it.

AR10 accuracy question

Hello Everyone

I have a relatively new SIG716 that is causing me a lot of troubles in terms of accuracy at longer ranges. At 100m it is doing 5 shot groups well below 1MOA using Hornady 168gr BTHP Match ammo. At 300m the groups open up to around 10cm which is a little over 1MOA and still acceptable in my opinion. But after 500m the accuracy completely falls appart and at 600m the rifle is pretty much unuseable. The groups are in the 50cm range at 600m which made it impossible for me to reliably hit a 30×30cm steel plate at 600m.

I had the same issue now on all range trips so far. The wind conditions were not an issue generally since other shooters on the range had no issue hitting their usual target groups. Also the shooter is not to blame since multiple shooters including very experienced ones tried the 716 at the 600m target and everyone was unable to reliably hit the steel gong target, the hit rate was only 2/10 at best which is very dissapointing for a 308 even with a 16.5" barrel.

I also tried different ammo types with different bullet weights but nothing improved the poorer accuracy at longer ranges.

It is very strange to me that the rifle is a solid performer at 100m, but completely falls appart beyond 500m. Loose scope mount can be ruled out since that would also show up at 100m.

Thank you in advance!

Second Boeing whistle blower dies

Dean’s death comes less than two months after the purported suicide of another Boeing whistleblower, John “Mitch” Barnett. Barnett, who had been fired from Boeing in 2017, was giving a deposition in a lawsuit for Boeing’s retaliation against him for warning about a different set of quality issues, these at Boeing’s 787 plant in Charleston, South Carolina

SOLD Defiance Tenacity, Hawk Hill .223 Precision Bolt Rifle

Nomad Precision-branded Defiance Tenacity action, 223 BF; Hawk Hill competition contour 26" barrel, 7.5 twist; Triggertech Diamond curved shoe trigger; JP APAC folding chassis with MDT Elite grip, JP APAC bag rider, and SAP 2-round quiver. Load it up and shoot it.

Really hate to do this, but I'm selling the rifle that got me this far down into this whole mess in the first place. This is a beautiful rifle that shoots beautifully.

I bought this from another Hide member a while back, I believe there was (I believe) about 1100 rounds on the barrel. I put another 400ish on it, mostly Hornady factory match stuff, but I also took this rifle with me to a three-day LRP class in Colorado, having never shot past 100 yards before in my life. Shooting the instructor's handloads with 75gr Hornady ELDM I was truing out to 1k on the second day, and after I had my data trued up I was nailing first and second rounds hits all the way out to 1200 yards, with this little ole 223 Remington. The previous owner said this thing loved SMK77s (see pic) and Hornady 80s and 88s too. I never got it together to reload for this gun but it's definitely capable of handling the longer bullets if you can reload. PO included his load data and notes and I see CBTOs of 1.940 in some cases. I was getting 2940 FPS from this gun with 75gr ammo on my 3/4mile day (see photo). It's just an awesome gun and a lot of fun.

Everything on this gun runs great and functions flawlessly. It's got the usual rash of a gun that's been taken out to the range and actually used. But it's got lots of life left in it and I just have too many other calibers to reload for. I sold all my 223 components last week, and so now it's time to put this up before I change my mind.

$3150 shipped & insured to your FFL, PayPal F&F only or Venmo

price is now $3,000

Open to offers on just the BA or just the chassis as well. I also have two MDT metal 10-round AICS mags for this gun and actually I still have some Hornady factory 73gr ELDM and Nosler 77gr ammo for this. I'll include the two metal mags if you just take this off my hands already. If you need ammo too I can do an inventory and we can make a deal. Bipod and rear bag not included.

Defiance machine anti-X bolt Wear pattern odd?

I have never owned a Remington action made by Remington, so I have no idea how these actions wear…. I just don’t think bolt body should touch the lugs and if they do, they should touch equally and both sides .

The bottom lug (when in battery) has more rub than the top lug or would be the right lug has more than the left lug if looking straight down the barrel..

First picture shows considerable rub. The last picture doesn’t show much rub at all, which is the opposite lug.

What are others experiences like?
I’ve not seen any posts about this talking about wear pattern or anything else about these very expensive, if not the most expensive actions on the market.
