6-24 vs 5-25

Is there a benefit to use one magnification range over another? The low and high end differences don't seem like much, but does the 4x vs 5x range make a difference when using the reticle within the zoom range?

Edit to add- I did try to search for a previous thread on this before asking, but I kept getting a red screen error message

  • Mighty Armory GOLD MATCH 6 Creedmoor FL Sizing Decapping Die - $100

Just want show off how proud I am of my son

He is only 11, on the autism spectrum so VERY recoil sensitive and finally stepped up to .223. He was enjoying his TacSol 10/22 but at 200 he was kinda having to lob them in.

We only have had him shoot out to 200 so far but eventually going to go further but nothing really local.

I know he is jerking the trigger and we still have work to do on his fundamentals but i am happy he finally is ok with the .223. My lightweight AR15 was just a tad too much recoil for him.

Accessories AW 12rd Mags

These are mags I convert myself from 10rd AW they hold 12 round and have been function tested out of an Impact in a XLR envy. Last year I did run my personal 12rd mag with my impact and an ACC. Zero issues. If you have a 10 round that runs great these will run just as good but give you the ability to hold 12 rounds in a very short mag. If you have any questions feel free to let me know. I have a few ready to ship if they sell I can give you a lead time when I will have more available. I have sold several of these this year and haven’t had anyone have issues that I know of.

These prices are shipped to your door.

308 12rd AW $250
BR 12rd AW $310

Best form of payment is venmo. Could possibly do other options but would need to agree upon before deal is made.

SOLD MPA BA Comp Chassis w/Weights

MPA BA Comp chassis in black, and nearly loaded. Comes with full internal forend weights plus the steel/weighted rear bag rider, NV bridge, ARCA/Picatinny spigot, two-round quiver, action screws, and lug lock. This came off of a used but well-loved MPA Comp rifle purchased from another hide member back in November. He used it in some comps so it has the usual rash (see pics), I took this out to the range twice. Otherwise, it's sat in the safe.

Balances perfectly and runs great.

Accessories Wind Wands

I made a few of these for shooting the local matches and curious if there would be interest in these wind wands? They are made from carbon shafts with stainless ball bearing swivel, 1/4-20 threads and with the included thumb wheel they weigh 1 ounce. Would ask $20.00 per wand plus $10.00 shipping for up to 6 wands, I have a few already finished with more in the works. Updating the original post with the binocular adapter so you now have the option of mounting the wind wand directly to a tac table or directly the binoculars via the adapter. Please PM with any questions or interest.

Favorite Hot Sauce

I love hot sauce, I put it on almost everything. I'm currently in Ashland Oregon, and found a local hot sauce that's the best I've ever tried. and this has me wondering what hot sauce is your favorite?

For me, Joey's 50/50 hot sauce is the best I've ever tasted. The depth of flavors is amazing, and the heat level is perfect. He also makes a few other kinds, but the 50/50 is just perfect. This has me wondering what else I'm missing out on for hot sauces? I'm sure there's a whole world out there that I'm missing.

L.A. Times: Making Employees Show Up in Person Exposes Them to Racism

2:08

The Los Angeles Times reported Tuesday that making employees shift from work-from-home to showing up in person risks exposing black employees and workers “of color” to the racism that some say that they experience in person at the workplace.
In an article titled “Remote work gave them a reprieve from racism. They don’t want to go back,” the Times reported:
[M]any Black workers and other people of color … found that remote work lessened the racism they faced on the job.
But it forces workers to make a difficult choice — prioritize your mental health or endure for the sake of your career. Remote job opportunities are shrinking as more companies require that workers come back to the office. And even in hybrid workplaces, remote employees can be at a disadvantage for career advancement since managers sometimes forget about them or assume they are less productive than their in-person peers, a concept called proximity bias.

Throughout the pandemic, survey after survey showed what some workers of color have known for years: Workplace politics and discrimination can make the office an undesirable place to be.
Ironically, in the early weeks of the coronavirus pandemic, reports emerged saying that work-from-home was racist because black and Hispanic employees were less likely than Asian and white employees to have jobs that allowed them to work remotely.
The tech industry, which leans heavily to the left, is one of the industries known to make the greatest use of work from home.

HILARIOUS!!
