338 Lapua Hornady brass failing after 2 reloads

Looking for some reloading advice regarding hornady 338 brass. I purchased 60 rounds of Hornady 338 lapua brass, and I am seeing something that looks kind of like case head separations after just 2-3 loads. I'm assuming this is not expected behavior. Hornady says I'm oversizing the brass in the sizer die, which in this case means I need to reach out to Lyman, thought I would ask you folks before I did that.

I am not seeing any pressure indications in the primers, but if you look at the attached image, you can see the holes that are forming in the case walls, as well as massive indentations that are forming in the shoulder after the firing (the dents not there when they are being resized/annealed, I have been inspecting them). I used Lyman full length sizing dies, and they are being fired in a Savage 110 Precision. All primers were CCI large rifle magnum primers, and all were loaded using Vihtavuori N570 powder. Loads are varied as I am loading ladders, so from minimum to maximum powder load per Vihtavuori. The bullets have been varied, 270gr ELD-X, 285 gr ELD, 300 gr Lapua Scenars, and my latest had 300 gr Nosler ABLRs. I saw 2 of these failures in those loads, and the rest are in my latest ladder, with 300 gr Nosler ABLRs.

Reloads, or Burned Out Barrel?

My Sako TRG 22 in 6.5CM has been a dream to shoot since the day I got it dialed in. Never a hiccup. I do reload and take all the necessary steps to make sure everything is all matched up for consistency. But this last weekend I had a problem. I couldn't hit the targets like I usually do and neither could my buddy. Now, frustration hit and impatience set in. I must have went through 70 rounds that morning, which after I left the range, had the feeling that was a bad idea. There was some wind to account for, but nothing drastic. I hit the 1000 yard target twice out of 20 shots. But the splashes on the misses would be right, then left, then high, then low and so forth. Then later in the game I figured to plink some at 400 yard. I missed several hits, which is unheard of with this rifle. So, either I got my barrel too hot, to fast, my brass is wearing out, or my buddy and myself were just a mess after all the levering we did with 1873 carbines just prior. LOL! Just want to gather some thoughts as to what this could be. My biggest concern is my barrel. Could I have ruined the barrel after that many shots? 70 rounds in 1.5 hours. The gun had approx 950 rounds through it. It's still young for a TRG, so I'm praying this isn't the case. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

Creedmoor Sports scamming? Well, no not really.

Update: Creedmoor Sports went out of their way to take care of me with my order and reached a solution that worked for everyone, so I placed an order with them.

I just tried to order 3000 175 gr 308 practice bullets from Creedmoor Sports. I went to check out and they wanted over 200 dollars just for shipping. I called them and asked what was going on as that is nowhere near the rate for shipping bullets. After an interminable hold, the lady came on and quoted me 4 dollars higher than what the website said and claimed that that was with a "discount".

I work in the industry and we ship a lot of bullets. I KNOW that 3000 bullets will fit into no more than 2 flat rate boxes, which cost right about 25 dollars per to ship. Therefore, market rate shipping is 50 dollars, give or take a few bucks.

When I am being quoted 4 times the market rate for shipping, I find that to be not just egregious, but downright scummy.

I had always heard good things about Creedmoor Sports, but after this interaction, I want nothing to do with people who act like that.

For those of you who have bought from Creedmoor, is this normal for them?

Lindsey Hill - Conniving whore

https://www.foxnews.com/sports/trevor-bauer-settles-legal-dispute-accuser-reveals-damning-messages

"'Next victim. Star pitcher for the Dodgers,'" Bauer said in the video. "A text Lindsey Hill sent to a friend before she ever even met me. ‘What should I steal?’ she asked another, in reference to visiting my house for the first time. The answer? ‘Take his money.’ So how might that work? ‘I’m going to his house Wednesday.’ she said, ‘I already have my hooks in. you know how I roll.’ Then, after the first time we met, "Net worth is 51 mil" she said. ‘b---h, you better secure the bag’, was the response.
Tried to destroy him and take his money.

In this thread we will discuss heavy bolt lift.

When discussing bolt action rifles I mostly own Savage model 10 and 110 rifles.
This summer I built an Ultimatum Deadline Gen 2 with an IBI barrel and an MDT ACC chassis.
I have put north of 17,000 rounds through these Savage rifles and nearly 700 through the Ultimatum.

I keep hearing about heavy bolt lift and I don’t understand it because I have never experienced it with the exception of a couple of hand loads during load development which I would never consider using.

I was at a clinic/match this weekend.
One of the shooters, who little did I know has competed at the national level and still holds a record that stands today, had a Kelbly Atlas action.
We tied the last 500m stage at 50.9V equivalent to a 100-9X
Not knowing anything about his rifle I asked if it had a 60° action.
He looked at me as if I had 2 heads and stated that a 60° action could never have a bolt lift as light as a 90° action and it was simple physics.

I’m not a big or particularly strong guy so I really don’t know if this is really an issue.

We had someone on the line on Saturday who seemed to have a particularly hot round go off and couldn’t open his action.
The match director had to use the holy hammer (2 lb orange dead blow) to open the action.
There was considerable force used and the silver soldered handle on the Remington action was starting to separate. This is obviously not what I would consider to be what we are discussing.

SOLD Ag composites chalk branch rem 700

Ag composites chalk branch bedded for a Remington 700. Ptg bottom metal for ar style mags (223/556/300bo) and 4 mags (3 pictures but I know I have one more) area 419 arca rail. *****this stock is specifically inletted for this ar mag bottom metal. If you want to use a bdl or m5 style bottom metal it will need to be reworked. Again not bolt in ready for bdl or m5*****

This was a project I wanted to do just to see if I could. I did it then switched the action to 223ai and they don't feed as good as the normal 223s did.

Pictured some damage right behind the grip. Looks like it was put in a vice but I honestly have no clue.

Asking $500 obo shipped. ****sold****

A terrible day for the pedophile-hunting community. Boopac Shakur of Dads Against Predators killed by a repeat offender.

PONTIAC, MICHIGAN
SEPTEMBER 29, 2023

Robert Wayne Lee AKA "Boopac Shakur", a core member of Michigan based predator catching group Dads Against Predators was confronting a repeat offender that the DAP team had confronted in the past, as the team had stated on their subscribers-only Locals page, when the offender drew a pistol and shot Mr. Lee, who succumbed to his injuries at a hospital later.

REST IN PEACE BOOPAC. You were one of the BEST in this line of work. Your sense of humor during the team's podcasts as well as the catches is why there are hundreds of thousands of subscribers to DAP INC. Prayers out to Joshua, Jay, Courtney, and other members of the DAP team during this horrific time and may this piece of shit offender be prosecuted to the fullest extent there is, if he doesn't FAFO in jail/regional pen and get his body perforated like a pincushion first. Ever since their inception in 2020, DAP INC. has exposed over 350 would-be predators who had thought they were trying to message underage children online. And out of these, more than 330 were arrests and over half are CONVICTED and serving prison terms right now, as well as subject to mandatory lifetime registry on the national sex offenders database.

BLAST FROM THE RECENT PAST: In memory of Boopac's no-nonsense attitude and cutting edge sense of humor even in the face of serious situations.
