Dreaded "is this normal" question re: ATACR turret alignment

Received my ATACR 4-16x42 F1 yesterday. Below are three photos of the elevation turret
dialed at 0.0, 0.5, and 12.0 mils.

As it sits, the marks are a hair "overclocked." I removed and reinstalled the elevation cap and it's still the same. There's an extra mental step I have to take when I glance at the turret after dialing to know with certainty what I've dialed to. I could count the clicks, of course, but my expectation was to glance up and be able to say "0.7" or "1.2" or what have you, instantly.

Question: Do the marks on your turret match perfectly with the index mark on your scope body? Should I contact Nightforce?

Governor Dimslee tests positive for Covid

What a moron...

From AP

OLYMPIA, Wash. (AP) — Washington state Gov. Jay Inslee has tested positive for COVID-19 for the second time.

Inslee’s office said in a statement Wednesday that he had tested positive and was experiencing very mild symptoms including a cough. He is consulting with his doctor about whether to receive Paxlovid antiviral treatments, according to the statement.

He plans to continue working. Trudi Inslee, the first spouse, has tested negative.

Inslee, who throughout the pandemic pushed for mitigation measures including indoor mask-wearing and restrictions on large public gatherings, is fully vaccinated and had booster shots in October 2021 and March 2022 and September 2022, according to his office.

“Once again I am very appreciative to be vaccinated and boosted,” Inslee said in the statement. “This is a scientific gift that has given us the capacity to prevent hospitalizations or worse. I encourage folks who haven’t received their booster to talk with their doctor and avail themselves of this protective, life-saving measure.”

Why are actions+bolt so expensive

Hi, just a simple question. Why are bolt action receivers and bolts so expensive? Why do they cost more than a barrel, and as much as a high end stock/chassis? From Impact, to Defiance, to BigHorn, Curtis Custom, and Lone Peak Arms. They are $1000 plus. Is it that it takes more complex machining? I understand that if you want quality you are going to have to pay for it, but do we ever see a future where a good action will cost $500 or less? Is it just that it is a small market to begin with?

5.56 Semi Auto Suppressors - Titanium?

Hey everyone,

Tldr: I'm currently figuring out what my next suppressors are going to be as I'm trying to stop hot swapping suppressors and get dedicated cans for each rifle. I'm looking at a kgm r6 for a 16" "reCCe" rifle and wonder if titanium can handle harsh-ish semi auto use. I have a 30 cal suppressor already that lives on a competition bolt gun.

I'd like to explore a lighter weight 5.56 can to stay on a 16" lightweight barelled rifle almost permanently. I am looking very closely at the kgm r6, as the weight, length, and features are very appealing. The ocl polonium is also a contender here, but at near double the weight, I'm wondering if I could get away with a titanium suppressor on a semi-auto platform. I never plan for full auto fire.

My concern is with putting a titanium suppressor on something semi-auto. I don't do any mag dumping into dirt, but I will on occasion run something like a 3 gun course with 2-3 magazines in a short amount of time, or hammer out some bill drills at the range, etc. The last thing I'd want is a semi-auto gun I have to run at bolt action speeds 24/7.

Questions:
Can titanium suppressors stand up to very typical semi-auto use?
With 5.56, what typically suppresses better? A smaller 5.56/6mm can, or something higher volume but with a bigger hole aka 30 cal at higher volume?

Thanks everyone for the input and feedback! I'm looking at a lot of suppressors in the near future, and a dedicated suppressor for this 16" semi-auto is top of the list.

Pipedream.

While 'Doable' this is an insane idea. Much more reasonable would be the drought stricken states to implement strict water usage rules, and limit future growth. They will never limit growth because the politicians want more people because it equals larger tax base = more money to steal. They would do better to catch an astroid and pull it to earth. ;)

Pumping Mississippi River water west: solution or pipedream?

See, they cut it off

Had to fly to TX for a day trip to help a friend move some stuff,

I carried an empty pelican and filled it with 70LBS of stuff plus had a firearm in it,

checked it in normal; they even took my number to call me if TSA needed to get in it, no call, no word, got the case in Denver with the lock cut

IMG_0255.JPG

This is why I normally carry TSA locks, but in this case, I just grabbed the first set of locks on the shelf

They will cut your stuff and send it on its way, and they gave me my cut lock back.

Search Warrents

Is it just me not noticing or, have all these searches of joe bidens many houses and garages been done without a search warrant. Meaning, if any residence or vehicle was searched without joe or jill explicitly giving permission, or a court warrant being issued, that any evidence (documents) being obtained, will be inadmissible in a legal proceeding.

Meaning to me, that all of this is a moot point. Again, joe is guilty as shit but free as a bird.
