I have not seen to many wet tumblers in youtube videos of pro load development. I used dry tumble but it took way to long to get the brass clean and you could tap the case and black residue would still come out. I like wet tumbling. Does anyone thinK I am losing any thing wet tumbling that I would gain over dry tumbling>

If you’ve tried one of the commercial offerings, you were probably disappointed with airflow, battery life, or the whole shebang. That inspired me first to buy a rechargeable mattress inflator on Amazon for about $25 and rig a plastic pipe elbow so that it will generally fit in the bolt raceway pointed towards the chamber. That thing blows air out the suppressor of a 26 inch barrel at between 5 and 10 mph and cools the barrel extremely well. The only problem being that it has limited battery life & takes a while to charge on a USB port, and will not run off of an auxiliary battery USB port when battery dead/charging. So when it's dead it's dead for several hours till you get it recharged. FWIW, it does last for about 40 minutes of blowing, which is a pretty good range day.

Then, my brother showed me that the toolmakers like Ryobi and Milwaukee are now making an accessory for the 18v lithium batteries that is basically a high velocity air blower. For cleaning out workspaces, inflating stuff, and whatnot. I got a piece of plastic tubing that likewise fits in the ejection port and up towards the chamber and just duct taped it to the nozzle head of the Ryobi blower and that sucker blows air out the suppressor end at like 15-20 miles an hour. It’s ridiculous, how much air it blows. It will blow for several hours on one charge and I’m sure you have spare batteries in your truck like I do.

Now I can run those 20 shot groups that the Hornady guys were talking about on podcast 50 lol. Seriously though. 10 shots. Cool. Repeat.

For sale is a brand new AI AWM 2.0 300WM with Monopod and Sawtooth ARCA rail. This rifle also has the much more desirable quick adjust LOP and Cheek rest. I'm the second owner and added the accessories. The original owner didn't fire it; neither have I. Pictures of the bolt attached for reference. Adam at Mile High threaded it 5/8x24. The original owner had it threaded with a wonky thread pitch that I wasn't comfortable with on a WM.

The scope is from another rifle, used for under 50 rounds. Black TT 525P Gen2XR mounted in a SPUHR 1.5" 34mm format. Scope not pictured, but it in like new condition with box. For redundancy, this rifle hasn't ever had an optic mounted. I will provide pictures to the buyer should they need them.

Comes with a number of magazines, both 5 and 10 rounders. 7 if memory serves.

As a package for $15,000. Will require a wire or check due to the amount. Local buyer will need to complete a 4473 and sales tax will be additional.

.223 vs .30 Cal for 5.56

I'm having a very hard time deciding if I want to go with a caliber specific 5.56 or 6mm can for a 16" host, or if I'd like to go with a .30 cal can for more future proof/and or multi host use. I already have a sdn6 and a kgm r30 in jail, but I'm having a hard time committing to a 5.56 suppressor when lightweight and short .30cal cans exist and can be used on other hosts.

I'm aware 5.56 suppressors offer the same performance in a smaller package. I am aware that 5.56 specific suppressors are better at the muzzle and better for flash reduction. But the question is by how much? Is it actually noticeable to the end user? Can you get acceptable 5.56 suppression from a .30 cal suppressor?

Do those of you with dedicated 5.56 cans ever wish you had gone a more general can, or are you happy with your decision?

Those of you running .30 cal cans for 5.56, how have you found the performance? Do you wish you had a 5.56 can?

Thanks for the input everyone. I'm weighing the performance benefit of caliber specific with the utility benefit or lack thereof.

Hodgdon has a max of 23.7 and that is compressed. Are people still going above that?
